Greenacre has actually been offered a new contract by Stoke City.
There'd be a fair queue of clubs in front of us to take him too, if he didn't accept the new deal.

i notice townson has been released from rochdale-any opinion on him as possible replacement for rodgers?i remember him being quality for rochdale a few years back, around the same time as greenacre was bangin them in for mansfield Loan extended to cover play off matches. Murphy released by Cheltenham. (For interest - dont want to sign him)

Danny Webb Please God know. If Cambridge fans thought he was rubbish this season I can't see how he'd improve anything. As for Armand One, just don't even think about it, truly awful when he was at Cambridge and only managed about three goals in Scotland. Townson would be a much better signing

Tis true he was not a Cambridge favourite and only made the subs bench against us, in fact if my memory serves me correctly he will wish he had stayed on it as he came on and was clattered by Challis!!!

It isn't Lee Thorpe but you're in the right kind of area - also this striker is better than Thorpe.

what about ryan valentine is he out of contract at darlo good left back.young too Used to kick ass in the Shropshire junior leagues but not impressive since turning pro. He's young though and hence that's one massive advantage to be if after a contract with GP and Shrewsbury Town.

thought ahton was going to be our new left back.
GP wants to bring in another midfielder, we already have edwards, tolley and smith. It could start to get very crowded.

Does ne1 remember David Bell for Rushen&Diamonds? Still only 22 but looked amazong when i last saw him. Same sort of style as Lee Trundle. i think he could be a good signing - and he can cross a ball. 1 problem signed a new contract recently

Gazza!! Looks fitter than he has for years! Player coach role in place of O'Connor. Good for morale and good for gate receipts! JOKING BY THE WAY!

Tony Thorpe released by QPR along with Jamie Cureton, might be dreaming but both can score goals 31 and 30 year of age respectively the salary may be a sticking point and there desire to avoid a two league drop but dafter things have happenned!!

Jamie Cureton - great on the pitch.........quite a few "interesting bits" off the pitch too! The Reading fans would have him back....... many of the ladies in Reading may like him back for repeat performances.......that is on the pitch you understand.

David Johnson, went to the Burton borough in newport.
Erm no chance of getting him.
As for Curiton, I'd love to see him here, but doubt it very much, he has a lot of baggage (one rumour involving him with the chairmans/directors teengage daughter).
Andy Cooke, local lad, played for Tigers, was in Korea, but I think his contract may be up. Bit of a dodgy knee, must be about 31/32 now, but has and can score goals.
