The record set by Accy was "probably" from an all paying crowd. It would be nice though for STFC to sit up and take notice when we did the kids for £2 1/4 final against Crewe which we won 4 - 2 the attendance was well up.

Maybe the club should make more of it then Ian, I'm sure the club do plenty of positive things like this which is all good PR but it does not always seem to make it into the press..................

Thats a great effort for the fans of Telford. To offer subsidies for adults aswell as free transport and entry for kids is excellent. Well done Shakey and Staff

The deal, hoping to get lots of those who went to the Leigh gamec to come again, charged a family (one adult and one kid) more than it cost an adult and kid to get in the family stand....

I do recall a deal which I worked out was more expensive than the normal family stand deal. This was in the away seating and hardly anyone took it up.
Can't remember which game - I think it was an evening kick-off.
If we could go though the old news items from last season I'm sure we could find the details.
What is interesting is getting companies to sponsor this particular thing. Given the lack of corporate support previously this is an interesting effort.

Sorry Ian, the first idea was a good one at the club, but I do believe it was the result of fans writing letters, as opposed to the club formulating ideas for themselves - this season we have seen no iniatives to get new people in the ground. Attendances are up on recent comparative seasons but we shouldn't stop working until the ground is full to capacity for home fans. If your a car salesman and your sales were up on 2 years ago but you still had cars left in the show room to sell - would you put your feet up and not bother to sell the rest? It's been a bug of mine for a while now, but the club is missing out. And with a move to a New ground imminent, it should be now that we are getting new fans through the turnstyles.

Even Gary Peters has been doing his part to keep a couple of fans happy and encouraging them to return to GM, by making a small phone call to show he cares.

CapGemini are not covering the cost.
Individual companies (or people) can sponsor a school to go to the game. For instance, I have chosen to sponsor my old Junior scool to attend.
The cost is about £250, good value I think!
