Sad to see Darbs go he is a real gent, had a chat with him before the Brizzle game, he was only to happy to stop and have a word, Challis will be in STFC history for his pen, Street, if only he was taller.

I think we should play this very hard - none of them to teams in the bottom half of this division.

Challis and Street are capable of doing a job for some of our relegation rivals...
...but I'd be prepared to drive Darbs to Aggborough myself.

Would Quinn be intrested in them? I hope DD can last this and at least stay to the end of the season!! I want to see him score a league goal this year. it would only take one injury and they might get a second chance! DD need to get fit before A) anyone takes a risk on him, and B) Peters has another look (unlikely) Crew will be selling Ashton to Norwich soon and they will be after a new forward - i see darby as an idea replacement for them

I'm dissapointed that Street isn't staying, I think he's a good centre mid but evidently Gary Peters doesn't rate him highly (and judging by what else GP has done to date I'm not going to argue with him!!).
I think Ashton has made a good start to his Town career, most notably at left-back where Challis has been in dreadful form over the past couple of months.
As for Darby - a high wage earner and injury prone - will anyone come in for him?

same sentiments as young Anthony if we ditch Darby maybe we'll be stuck paying a percentage of his wage as there is no chance he'll want a pay cut (and why should he) and little chance clubs like Rusden, Kiddie and Peterborough can afford £1,800 a week. Possible development?- Barry fry sells Clive Platt to teither one of the two interested League one sides, and then comes if for Duane???

DD to PUFC is a non starter they are virtually bankrupt and only managed to pay the wages this month by selling Constantine to Torquay, and what little they will get for Platt won't cover DD's Petrol expenses.
Its a classic case of BF talking up Platt to get some unrealistic sum through desperation belive me they are signing no one...!!!

Platt was a £100,000 signing for Dale, and he left them (despite being offered a new contract and being a first team regular) for a higher standard of footbal (and bigger wage...)
He will be on decent wages himself. Why make up interest ina player especially when you've then stated that you've made the player aware.
Thats why I stated that I can only see Darby leaving if Salop subsidize part of his wage for the remainder of his contract.

As upsetting as it may be for you DDAS, your boy Darbs isn't able to meet the demands of league football anymore.
He's not good enough for us so he's not going to be good enough for 90 per cent of the teams in League Two, let alone the likes of Peterborough.
He'll be lucky to get himself picked up by a leading conference side.
I'm grateful for his playoff equaliser - but apart from that he's been a massive flop and we'd be better with his ridiculous wage packet of our books.

Shame about Streety, Challis has been off form since moving back to Bristol and Darby has to go simply because of his large pay packet and the fact we already have a 'big' lad up front in the shape of Kelvin, who I think is a much better all round footballer!
That said all 3 of them have been excellent servants to the club and its only fair that they are given a chance to move on rather sitting in the reserves until thier contracts run out.

They were all brought in by Quinn to do a job - get us back in the league
All of them helpt to achive that!
I think flop is unfair!

would you count cramb as a flop? I'd class him as an excellent & creative footballer who was not given a chance by a cr@p manager! Would love to see him upfront with Kelvin on Saturday

I am sorry to see Street go useful player in central midfield but as someone says earlier on this thread its hard to argue with GP at the moment Still would like to see another midfielder in if he goes despite the rebirth of Tolley and Edwards and the eventual return of Smith
As for Darby very nice guy but sadly surplus to requirements

Will be sorry to see Street go - thought he looked a useful player when in the middle.
Shame that Challis has lost the plot a bit - good player, but his heart doesn't seem to be with the club any more.
Darbs - 4th choice striker now, which if the rumours about his salary are true isn't justifiable. Did a job for us last season but time to move on.
Agree with Ant though - if GP says they can go, thats good enough for me.
Good luck to all of them though in getting something fixed up.
