but slightly embarrassing that with our rich heritage AFCTU are yet again setting the standard for ways of a football club raising money and providing good events for the fans
A few boxes at NM won't change this mindset

Would Kevin Ratcliffe be welcome back at the Meadow then?

Shakey and co know how to organise a good event and have been doing so since the creation of the club.

Perhaps my minds going but I'm starting to think that the Ratcliffe era at Town wasn't as bad as I thought it was at the time.
The final few months of the relegation season were horrible, but there were some very memerable games under Ratcliffe (Everton, Chelsea, Crewe, Plymouth Home and away, and the games that nearly saw us in the playoffs). We were much more entertaining to watch than we were under Jimmy Quinn and the Rodgers/Jemson partnership up front is probably the best I've seen at the Meadow. Its just a shame Ratcliffe couldn't get everyone playing as a team and that he couldn't find a decent centre back to replace Heathcote during the end of the 2002 - 2003 season, otherwise we would probably have stayed in the league and wouldn't have been laughed at by Telford last season.
I wouldn't welcome Rattcliffe back to the Meadow with open arms, but I can't say I would be offended if he came back for a charity event or get together of past Town managers.

What the real shame though is had we stayed in the League in 2003, sacked Ratcliffe and appointed Gary Peters, he'd have had one heck of a budget and a clean slate to take this football club forward with.
