I remember a match at Stamford Bridge early 70's, the goal nets were always fairly baggy in those days. Chelsea were playing Ipswich, Hudson hit a screamer which came to rest at in the netting at the back right of the goal. Ref gives a goal, Chelsea celebrate and Ipswich go mad - when the netting was unravelled, it turns out that the ball had gone outside the post and got tangled up in the side netting. Ref wouldn't revoke his decision and the goal stood - think it ended up 2-1 to Chelsea.

There was a "goal" shown on match of the 70's once, a free kick was taken with the ball flying into the goal, hitting the stansion and then flying back out again, the goal was not given

if had happened at the dell, the ball going the same distance over then it would have hit the net the nets are too baggy these days, though they look good there not the most practical
