8.00pmish in the Romping Cat for the sensible sorts Where is this legendary Romping Cat Andy? I've driven around your neck of the woods plenty of times but never seen it I hear they do a nice pint. Is it just a beer house or can you get a meal there as well?

Is it officially the Romping Cat now ?
Used to only be a nickname for the Railway at Old Woods. I have played darts there, but not for many years

Where is this legendary Romping Cat Andy? I've driven around your neck of the woods plenty of times but never seen it I hear they do a nice pint. Is it just a beer house or can you get a meal there as well? You would like it Tel, not for the younger element hence StueP slagging it off Good Beer indeed, not sure about food as I never eat out. No point the way my wife cooks. I shall enquire about food tonight Tel and report back tomorrow. Little awkward to describe how to get there but if you come from Bomere Heath out past Percy Throwers owd place and across Merrington Green its on your left just after you go over the Railway Bridge. Or if you are coming from Town towards Baschurch turn right at Walford Cross Roads and after half a mile you come in to Old Woods, keep going and it is on your right. Was indeed the Railway years ago and I used it alot when I was a student at Walford College. Every one called it the Romping Cat so they changed the name about 10 years ago.
