TBH Phil I think the officials will feel embarrased about the whole incident and I am sure will be officialling lower profile games for a while.

i remember bolton having a goal ruled out against everton about 6/7 seasons ago video showed it had crossed the line
bolton got relegated
had the goal stood everton would have gone down instead of bolton
and just for the record i remember man u having one wiped out at OLD TRAFFORD
they lost the game 3-2aet and went out of the fa cup had the goal stood they would have won
and i think it was romania who went out of the world cup after a similar goal not counting

There was also the Chesterfield goal in the FA Cup semifinal which was not given and denied them the honour of being the first lower league club to reach FAC final. There is no doubt that last nights is the most clear cut though.

Ooooooh get you Ducky, if you can't have the balls to log in and share your opinion in this debate then I, sir, won't value your opinion. So you never have, nor ever will, debate with anyone not logged in? LOL Or could it be you have no answer?

As someone else has said, noones fault. These things happen.
Officials were doing their jobs at the time the ball was played, and the linesman seemed to be doing his best to get back with the ball to be able to see. But from where he strarted from and the position of Carroll his view was prob blocked by the keeper.
Yes there is an argument for saying video evidence should be used in such cases but I wonder how many of you are so peed off about this so much just because its Man Utd?

well as someone else has posted, carroll was over the line too, so should have been easy enough.
i'm p**sed off about it not because its man u, but because i follow spurs, and could finally have broken our hoodoo of not winning at old trafford if it were not for total incompetence (not from our own team for a change)

I am p**sed off because it was Man U that got let off again. I hate Man U and I don't care who knows it. I hope AC Milan beat them 5-0, all with goals from the halfway line that DIDN'T cross the line but the ref gave them anyway.
