it's on News at Ten, the pic is legit. I'm torn on this one, sweet compensation for Spurs beating Everton, but utterly unfair.

i'm trying to look at this from an officials point of view, perhaps the lino was an arrogant little (4 foot 6) pr*ck who is'nt fit to officiate on the seven pitches??

absolutely frightening
but not a lot to be surprised about
not as blatant in the dodgy ref department as the numerous dodgy penalties given at Old Trafford
But Liverpool in front of the Kop has to be the single worst place int he country for poor refereeing decisions in the last 25 years

Nobody's mentioned Carroll...as in cheat. He knew perfectly well the ball was in (judging by the sick look on his face ). He should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute, and punished accordingly.

Seems cut and dried on the photo, but the ball bounced back out just as speedily. I admit I was horrified at first on MOTD, but then they show you the linesman running back from the midfield activity and his sightline was probably obscured by the goalkeeper who had as much difficulty getting back in time! Shouldn't one of the linesmen have been further down that end of the pitch? A travesty of justice, but equally, a Man U goalie shouldn't be leaving his goal so vulnerable. Reminds me of that Jodie banim goal - although this time the keeper almost got it and it wasn't a daisycutter _ OK so the similarities are minimal, but it still reminded me

Just to say that I agree that officials were to blame for the goal - after all one of them should have been in a position top view the goal!

After watching it on MOTD i don't think the linesman was wacthing it, looked like he was just running down the pitch looking at the line. In the end it proves one thing THEY ARE BLIND!!!!!! we've been right for years. ;D

The officials bottled the decision, who would dare go against the empire of Manchester Utd?

The officials bottled the decision, who would dare go against the empire of Manchester Utd? For God's sake grow up. If that goal had been turned down for an away side at the Meadow, would we all be screaming with rage? No. Would we be calling our 'keeper a cheat? No. These things happen, and will continue to do so. So why not just get a life.

I don't think the point will make much difference to Man U as it is extremely unlikely they will get near Chelsea or Arsenal this season but the 2 points could cost Spurs a place in Europe.
I would expect this incident will be discussed for many years.

yep exactly, but fortuanately it shouldn't cost spurs as apparently 'things will even themselves out'

Just to say that I agree that officials were to blame for the goal - after all one of them should have been in a position top view the goal! How could one of them been in position to see the goal? The linesman was keeping up with play i.e. he was in line with the last defender and the ref was suitably positioned to be dealing with the immediate action.
