99/00- played 8, 1 goal, no yellows, no reds 00/01- played 27, 7 goals, 1 yellow, 1 red 01/02 played 41, 22 goals, 13 yellows, 2 red 02/03 played 47, 20 goals, 11 yellows, 1 red 03/04 played 39, 15 goals, 9 yellows, 1 red this season- played 26, scored 4, 7 yellows, 1 red Anyone would think he was averaging 3 reds a season..... Before yesterday Lukes last sending off came on the 21/02/04 against Scarbrough- double yellow was it not? Not quite the let down some people would have us believe

1 red was also rescinded in 2002 I believe - Southend.
The 2001 red was because of his celebrations after getting us a hat-trick, the one in 2003 came after a highly dubious 'dive' against Oxford, and he was also unlucky against Scarboro last season.
So 5 red cards and 69 goals in 159 starts.

how does his 40 bookings compare with other strikers?
without those 69 goals we would be in the unibond

I would not sat Luke is a serial offender and his self discilpine has improved over time, what annoyed me yesterday was that we were in for a good chance of certainly a point and maybe all three and it irks me somewhat that his discilpine decides to evade him at this crucial point in the match
