It has to be, for me, and yes I saw it, Love Actually. Our local video shop is pretty poor and we wanted a light hearted comedy, thought this might be OK. How wrong we were. Rom-Coms are not supposed to leave you with a desire to kill and maim. Lot's of good actors and actresses and the final product was total and utter crap. 7.8/10 it got on IMDB, usually a fairly reliable guage. The funniest bit of the film was when the credits started to roll and my wife started hurling abuse at the TV. She wanted to mail the film company and demand compensation. I should have followed my initial gut reaction, but it was Christmas and we had nothing to watch. Never again.

Saw it last night- Masked and Anonymous that had a multitude of celebs (Penelope Cruz, Val Kilmer, Christian Slater) all supporting the 'star' Bob Dylan.
Awful, don't get sucked in to 5 star reviews on the front of the box because it is a load of mumberly b******s with some of the worst acting I've seen for a long time.

You see, IMDB has that as 4.9/10 which means avoid. I can't understand the rating for Love Actually, I really can't.

Film tip of the week Stay away from 'Alexander' and all its 'authentic ' Irish accents but do see 'The Aviator' Leo DiCaprio and Cate Blanchette are absolutely superb. Scorsese really has excelled himself

As for bad films of 2004...
The Punnisher, was the only film I walked out of
The Forgotten, very forgetable
Catwoman, only saw the last 5 mins and that was more than enough

Hmmm says a lot about my taste. Loved Punisher for its brutality that was true to the comic, although in comic form its is only his immediate family that gets murdered and in the film it is everyone he has ever met in his life it seems. Also enjoyed Hellboy!

the worst film of last year for me, has to be Open Water. it started very slowly, and got slower. only 75 minutes long, but thats about 74 too long.
its not comedy, its not horror, its not a thriller, its not really anything, and even less relevant.
its crap.

Troy, 3 reasons 1. Lots of footage of feasts with warriors spilling Beer 2. Brad pit runs like a girl 3. Over 3 hours long and when I got out the pub was shut

That ghetto thing with the fish. Family entertainment? I don't think so.
