It wont succeed as shoving someone in the face is a red card offence.

i dont know if it was a sending off even though i was at the match. knowing yeovil the player probablyacted the hole push in the face thing out or dived witch they seem to do alot.they shouldnt do that it ruins the game of football.

I saw it with my own eyes. The referee saw it. Other people saw it. He was shoved in the face. That is an irrefuteable fact.

So now that GP has reviewed it, and decided not to appeal (because Luke did raise his hands I presume?), will he fine him?

Oh he'll fine him allright and dont be surprised he Luke isnt on first name terms with the youth team soon, and also setting off on a few cross country runs.
Word has it,only runour of course that Mossy is far more aquainted with the Shropshire countryside now than he was before his act of stupidity.
As I posted last night "The Official line" could well have been simply a public response to the incident which as I said didnt look good from where I was standing.
Good Management skills again I think on GPs' part.
Must admit Lukes body language as he walked to the Coach didnt exactly give the impression that the Gaffer had just bought him a drink.

That is an irrefuteable fact. thats how we saw it.as soon as he did it we said hes off,we were stood on that side of the terrace.i would be very surprised if the ref changed his mind. i thought the ref had a good game,i think it was stevenage last year where he also did a good job.

GP got this very badly wrong and, IMO, has been made to look stupid. A lot of you are saying he has handles this very well, but here is how I see it:
LR is sent off. GP then states publically after the game that LR did nothing wrong and the ref clearly got it wrong. He claims the 4th official backs him up. He claims Mr Singh has agreed to review the incident. I can only assume that GP has now seen the video evidence himself and realises Mr Singh was actually correct is sending him off. After slating Mr Singh, I wonder if he will get a public apology from GP?

I agree with you. My point is that he claimed he did nothing wrong and would be appealing. I assume he changed his mind after seeing video evidence. Hence my post.

Each to their own int it...from what I saw I think Luke was very unlucky to be sent off. Some Yeovil bod starts shoving him about when he were on the ground and as he starts to get up so Luke throws him off...nowt too much wrong with that in my opinion. You see it one way, others another...
