i think it was 7250 Seems only the yeovil fans in the terrace sing. I find it dissapointing too, and i'm a YTFC fan. Thought the atmosphere picked up in the last 20-30 mins though

Another 1,500 could have fitted in the away end but I haven't a clue where the other 850 could go. For some reason, our atmosphere has been poor this season which really disappoints me. It was excellent last season but something is missing this term.

Just goes to show really. Yeovil are having an excellent season and their attendances are sky high. When we were having a good season (2001-2002) apart from the Luton game when we got 7800+ we only got above 4000 mark on 4 or 5 occasions www.shrewsburytown.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Match/Fixtures/0,,10443~2001,00.html It still bothers me all these people that only turn up for big games

It still bothers me all these people that only turn up for big games I wouldn't be too quick to judge. A lot of people don't have the time and/or money to go week in week out. The fact that they choose to go to the big matches is not really a surprise. It would be worse if people didn't go to the big matches really.

Also, dont forget that there is no other Football League club within 45 miles of Yeovil.

indeed when we are doing well we may "only" get 5000 or so to a home game.
However in recent years when we got relegated and experienced 8 straight losses, no win in 16 gates still remained around 3,500.
Our hardcore support appears to have grown, which is important, and i took great heart in the 5000+ attendance that turned up to watch us play Bristol Rovers, especially cconsidering the s**tty weather (thought it'd be called off) and our crap league position.

Also, dont forget that there is no other Football League club within 45 miles of Yeovil. Very valid point as we will always lose potential fans to Liverpool, Everton, Man U, Villa, Wolves, WBA and Brum City as they are all easily reachable where as Yeovil have a captive audience. I would imagine that at least 35% of our fans come from mid Wales as we are their nearest club!
