Right i'm sure someone in the 'clique' ( ) will be slating Rodgers big time tonight. Just remember the number of goals he has scored for this club in the past. Many players have been sent off in games before, don't just jump on the bandwagon because we lost the game today - we didn't expect anything from the game so concentrate on the positives from the match

Looking very solid, 2-1 up and he gets sent off for being an idiot. At the present he's acting like a waste of a wage.

Edwards scored 3 in 3, a decent performance against the team top of the league, scoring 8 in 3 games, all 3 below us have been beaten...it hasn't been the worst of days.

How many more times Phil?
How many games has he sat out due to being suspended?
He let us down badly before and he did again today
Yes, he is a terrific player and has scored many many goals but how many more times?

I have been telling people since the start of last season he is a waste of space. He is 23 now, still acting like a spoilt kid who thinks he is bigger than us. He has scored 2 league goals all season, lets face facts, he is not the player we thought he was, get him in the reserves and make him avaiable to anyone who wants the idiot.

Whats the point if you are a great player and don't have a great attitude??

time for GP to get rid of him, cost us 3 points today. What's the point of a striker with more cards than goals?
Hope GP fines him hard. He's a liability to the team, not an asset.

Id like to hear from Gary Peters on this one.
As the incident happened right in front of him I dont think we will get a Wenger from him.
Shame because as Stu Dunn has just said Luke was scaring them stiff with his pace.

He wasn't much last year and he's done bugger all scoring wise this. Knock him further down the pecking order and bring lowe up front.

I don't think we need to, as I'm sure Peters and the lads will leave him in no doubt as to what a prat he has been. I thought we had seen the back of these petulant acts by Rogers Given the other results and expectations before the match, this isn't the end of the world, but what a major boost for our already improved confidence it would have been to win or evn draw at Yeovil - however the stupidity of 1 player has been the major factor in that not being achieved I'm a great fan of Luke but he has let himself, his teammates, his manager and us fans down badly today - he has been in a crap run of form this season and when he should be showing GP that he can replace Grant upfront, he has gone & got a 3 game ban. Here's hoping that GP throws the book at him - fine of 2 weeks wages please.

Out of interest do people think we should get rid of Mossy as well as he has as bad a disiplinary record as Luke

He gets sent off for rash tackles (trying to help the team defend)
Rodgers gets sent off for induvidual scraps with players.

I would say 2 things
1) Moss is a defender
2) many more of his disciplinary points come from hard honest endeavour and tough tackling

The difference between Mossy and Luke is. Mossy still does a bloody good job in his role. Luke doesn't

No-one needs to harrang Rodgers. If he is the player we expect him to be he will hold up his hand and apologise to the team and suupporters for his indiscretion. All the other players who have been dismissed for Town this season should have done the same. Hopefully they did.

If Mossy acts like he did at Chester again, you may have a point that he should be treated in the same way - don't mind a sending off trying to prevent a goal but not acts of petulance

It doesn't make a difference how someone is sent off, they still get the same punishment. I'm willing to wager Mossy has spent more time suspended in recent times than Rodgers, as a result of idiotic, dangerous challenges. That is just as stupid as pushing someone, if not worse. Would you rather be shoved to the ground childishly or take a stud covered boot to the knee?
The general argument here seems to be that while Mossy gets sent off lots, he still plays well. It's not often that you will see Luke Rodgers playing badly either to be fair, granted he doesn't get the goals anymore but he certainly doesn't play badly.
He was a very stupid boy today and will be punished as such, but to say 'I hope he never plays for us again' and suchlike is ridiculous.

Rodgers certainly has a reputation. 2 years ago it was that of a reasonable footballer with a good goalscoring record. Now it is one of a spoilt brat, both on and of the field. If anyone deserves a firework it's him--As far up his arse as it can go. Get rid of him,he's a liability.

Luke needs to grow up simple as. Channel his energies on hurting the opposition with his play not his fists, elblows or lunges.
Apparently he was doing the former before the sending off. But he's gone and let himself and his team mates down.
Saying he should never play again at this stage is a bit premature, but how many more times, there will come a point when enough is enough.

RODGERS
26 Games 4 goals 7 bookings 1 red card
MOSS
3 bookings 2 red cards in 20 games
Last season
MOSS
10 bookings 2 Red Cards in 44 games
RODGERS
9 bookings 1 red card in 41 games
As a defender Moss will pick up more bookings, with his record Ropdgers looks more like a full back than a striker
Almost everyone agreed Cramb was moody and he should leave the club, after 7 bookings in 39 games last season
