My only annoyance today was there was so much build up play , nice tiki- taka most of the 2nd half , but we just melted when the ball entered the box
Still potential for someone to turn us around but they will Need to be on their game

Ugly scenes at the end of the game. Town faithful who were amazing throughout told the players some home truths and the players lead by Winchester showed appreciation to the fans.
Hopefully a new manager means we can draw a line and start again.

In regards to the January transfer window, I have a couple of points! Firstly, if we need money, who in their right mind would buy any of our players and, secondly, if we do have the money, who in the right mind would come and play for us! The new man in charge will have his work cut out!

Tom Bloxham is the only player that can hold his head up. Head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch.
So dangerous that they had 4 player's closing him down every time he touched the ball.

No matter how daunting the task, there will be no shortage of volunteers. If whoever is appointed, manages to avoid relegation he will be a hero and if we go down he will merely say that the squad of players he had to work with were clearly not up to League 1 standard.

Spot on with that Pughy - he was virtually our only threat for all of the game and our only player who was able to get past their defenders and he put some decent crosses in but nobody got on the end of them. Thought the atmosphere in the away end was reasonably good for the large part considering overall it was another dire performance. If the Messiah himself came back he could not get a win out of this team and we will be all but relegated before the transfer window opens. For me its now all about getting the right manager and players in so we can at least be competitive in League 2 next season.

Hopefully a new manager means we can draw a line and start again. I wouldn’t say they were particularly ugly, some clapped the players and some booed and that was it really. A dangerous level of resignation and apathy in the stand today, it was almost like there was no point getting angry at such a limp and pathetic excuse for a football team.

today sums it up perfectly majority of players we have are just not good enough, perhaps one or two may do ok in an ok side and we are far from ok . League 2 here we come . Harry Potter couldn't magic the enormity of the great escape required this season .

Well, we've now had 11 opportunities to do so out of only 15 games. I think some of us may have a point. Said poster is just a wind up merchant and not a good one at that. It’s like Ronnie Corbett cracking the same joke every week 😂 someone will be along soon saying we played well and were unlucky.

Having returned from the game and regained composure I feel able to comment! The ball control and accuracy of passes was way below football league standard and too many players went missing for long periods of the game ( I don't think it's helpful to name the players - if you were there you know who I'm referring to) The only exception was Bloxham who made some good runs and put in several dangerous crosses - I just wish he was less keen to go to ground when tackled. He's big enough to stand up for himself and is starting to get a reputation for going down to easily with the result that he is sometimes not getting a free kick when he should be.

I listened to on radio and Tolley was a refreshing change and brutally honest. We’re not doing the basics and we’re low on quality according to him. He sounded like he wanted to put his boots on and roll his sleeves up and give a few rollickings to some of the town players. A long winter ahead but we go on believing…

Probably not true, but reports on Twitter are suggesting that Roland stormed onto one of the away buses and started ranting and raving at the fans on it 😳

Hope Jamie Tolley has a word with Sean Parrish, because he was certainly laying into the Salop team as today's summarizer. He is a refreshingly honest guy and as many have already mentioned - the only player to come out with any credit was Bloxham. There were plenty of near post balls for the attacker's to have a go at today, but yet again nobody making a move. Very surprised Marquis is not anticipating any of these. Really don't know what is the best team going forward.

I agree with Tolley that this team just does not do the basics well enough. There was an incident in the first half when Winchester was high up the pitch and went down injured. Play went on for the best part of a couple of minutes but not one of our players had the nous to drop back into his position with the result that their left winger was totally unmarked and very nearly got in for a second goal. Things like that and not tracking runners or covering for teammates when they lose the ball are costing us lots of goals.

I might agree with tolley if he wasn't a player I can't think of one thing he actually did for us that was memorable instead of me thinking he would fit into this squad perfectly

I am full of admiration / sympathy for the dedicated fans who have travelled to away matches this season. I have only managed to see two home matches all season (two too many) and will not be visiting the Croud Meadow again until they have won at least one home match. Life can be disappointing enough in general without adding to it.
