... is what I hear.
Personally I'm sorry if this is true but it's not surprising.

Hope he gets a good pay out and a happy life afterwards.
Perhaps Paul Scholes and Roy Keane can give it a go as they think they know what its all about.

I think all managers should have their current sack probability scored from 0-10 on what I'll call the HAG scale, with zero hag safe as houses and ten hag being the sack
therefore what rating is Hurst currently on ? ;-)
I think he's on a 5 hag

Different clubs have different expectations, I suspect at worst Man Utd will finish top 10, it does seem Ten Hag is good at cup competitions and it wouldn't surprise me if they won the Europa Cup this season - yet perform poorly in the league.
Its a bit different with Hurst in that if Town go down its going to be a huge task for them to get back up.
One wonders how much the off field takeover matters at both Town and United affect the players on the pitch.

John, the days of worrying about the team apart from a very very few players is well and truly over. Most of our players would gladly play for a pub team if the landlord paid more

No loyalty these days, players not bothered if they play or not,as long as they get there money...the only one who played for the shirt, but was getting big money, was grant Holt.... Ran the show up front, basically on his own,and ran his socks off all season...loved watching him play

he's actually doing much better than Fergie like for like thats the trouble with clubs and fans these days, they want instant success, loads of it Fergie had a team of 11, Ten Haag has one where too many players are not good enough and some literally don't care enough apart from there wage in fergies first 4 seasons he finished outside the top 10, 3 times, and we all know the 4th season he kept his job due to the fact mark Robbins was the wonder kid in the fa cup, kept his job the 5th season as they won the cup winners cup, I even remember in an earlier round of the cup in his 4th season united went to Hereford and Colin Robinson did one of those Gazza back post slides narrowly failing to convert a cross ( same year too ) there was even a banner from a fan at one game , thats why I'm never a fan of a club getting rid of their manager too early whether I support them or not, and that includes the likes of Simpson, Ricketts, Askey, Hurst and even Cotterill ( although I wasnt aware of the damage he was doing off the field I still would have liked to see how he managed instead of Taylor with his hands tied ). im not really bothered though to be honest, I only like watching premier sides who have decent run clubs from top to to bottom, I love watching arsenal and have done for several seasons, also impressed with emery at villa, amazing job he's done there since Gerrard was found out, then again I've never been a fan of managers who dont speak the native language, and they get what they deserve

As a united fan he’s got to go.
Majority of United fans love to play the blame game. The glazers have had so much flak and imo they ain’t done a lot wrong. They have backed every manager with funds.
Ten hag transfer dealings have been appalling

They think they should be in the Big 6, but I don’t see them there any time soon unless City get demoted. Even then Toon will be vying to join the 3 London clubs, Liverpool and Villa. Steve McLaren would be ideal to go back there - he has a brolly.

Think is some teams like Villa and Newcastle has seriously upped their game in the last few seasons, teams like Brighton also seem to be there to stay.
Its different pressures, but if Man Utd can't find a way into the top 4 - its very difficult to see Ten Hag staying.
The problem is the majority of the squad is now his squad, the one thing he's done with it is clear the decks of the Solskjaer, Mourinho, LVG signings.
Respect for Ten Hag getting rid of Ronaldo who was clearly past it.

How can they not be with with the largest ground capacity in the country...full most of the time. A trophy cupboard probably fuller than most other clubs. I think you are letting your personal prejudices get in the way of logic.

How can they not be with with the largest ground capacity in the country...full most of the time. A trophy cupboard probably fuller than most other clubs. I think you are letting your personal prejudices get in the way of logic. They are still a big club, but there are half a dozen clubs that are just as big, if not bigger now. City are now the benchmark, not Utd. Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, even Newcastle and Villa have caught up, not yet in terms of trophies perhaps, but by pretty much every other metric. Even the likes of Brighton and perennial bottlers Tottenham are aiming for Europe next season and unless things suddenly click at Old Trafford we could see Utd missing out on Europe for only the 2nd time in 30+ years
