See he is settling in well at Wycombe.
Another goal in the early kick off game, think that 3 or 4 so far this season. Amazing what you can do with some support up front.....

He scored 11 in a very poor team, so if he keeps fit and stays in form with more support, it's logical he will score more goals, as for leaving he was offered £3,000 more by them, I don't blame him for going , i think he has a young family as well. football is a short career a bad injury and it can be all over

Annoyingly he would have done very well in our attack with the 3 behind him Except he didn’t want to be here which was the same situation last season hence the deal sitting on the table unsigned. Think there’s plenty of good reason players leave apart from money, expecting us to struggle again with little ambition due to our finances and the negative messages coming out of the club for the whole of last season surely affects a team low on confidence and under pressure. Similar situation as Leahy last season and players talk.

The fact that people are crying over the loss of Udoh just highlights what a crap few years we have had.

Udoh was definitely reported as saying he wanted to stay publicly but that it was up to the club. I took that to mean he wanted more money.

Thats what players do when they’re fans favourites (and nice people), hardly going to say the place stinks I want out. The truths somewhere in between usually, a fresh start with a more progressive club . We’re all fed up with the negatives coming out of the club and financial problems, how do you think players see it?

All I’ll say is he used to live next door to a primary school teacher who doesn’t support Shrewsbury…… Did we make him a good offer? Did he sign it? Why not?

I don't blame Udoh for leaving. He was either left out, injured or playing in an anti-football style.
If he had joined a decent league 1 club instead of us he would be playing in the championship right now on a lot more money.

He certainly couldnt have enjoyed playing a lone striker for us last season foraging for scraps. It's just not his game, put him alongside another decent striker and he will show you where the net is.

Moneys important but looking forward to playing football is too, wonder if our players will feel under pressure going into next Saturdays game.

Loads of players have said they love the club and would love to stay only to end up signing elsewhere, despite having been offered a contract by club. Lets be honest, it's just a bit of PR, they are asked by a reporter whether they are going to stay and do the "I love it here", probably knowing that there's very little chance of them actually staying.

Best permanent striker we’ve had at the club in a long while.
And of course he was looking for a move away, who could blame him? Playing in the most creatively devoid side in the football league, chasing lost causes with the maybe one half chance per game is no fun for a decent striker. If he took a pay rise to drop down then I’d question his motives given his age and he should be in the prime of his career, but the fact is he’s earning more money and playing for a much better team, he’d have been mad to refuse.

In Udoh's case he is a striker in a team who have struggled to score goals and generally have been towards the bottom end of the division. If he has a chance to join a team who are going to be targeting promotion and one who will provide him with more goalscoring opportunities, then you can't blame him for taking it. And being paid more to do it too Your last line is interesting though, personally I'd say it's worrying if our recruitment is based on what the chairman wants, not the manager.

Everything coming out of the club was a negative regarding budget and expectations for this year. Perhaps he wanted to enjoy his work / life rather than fighting relegation so went somewhere he felt would be competing rather than fighting every week. We have to put up with it, players don’t. It’s a shame, the club tried but wasn’t to be. Similar to other players that turned down offers, the didn’t want to be here.

It must have been soul destroying been the lone forward for town last season, why would you won't to stay? Especially as this year we looked to be trying to stay up on the cheap. We all want to enjoy our job and be reasonably paid, so you get a chance to play for a better team, with more money and a chance to enjoy your job. You would be daft not to go.

More money (a bit) but better prospects to further his career.
