The usual thread I start this time each season that gets avoided by most π Step forward , be brave , so how do you think we are going to fair this season ?
I think we are scoring 4 times this Saturday , that's how barmy my prediction is π , I also think we are going to be rock bottom at the end of the season
There you go , what's your predictions , can't be any worse than mine

Until I've seen the first 7/8 games,I can't really give a prediction,but I'll say 18th and safetyπ

If we can stay clear of the bottom 4 then it will be a damn good performance this season.

I certainly think we've got a good squad of players, and better ones than last season.if O'Reilly clicks into gear, and Winchester and rossiter perform well,I think we'll do ok

Around 15th nice and safe with some good performances and we hold on to the decent players.

I agree with chirkshrew that we have better players (and coach) than last year.
I recon 17th. But really should reserve my guesses until I read beexplorer's managerial form analysis π€£

Comfortably clear of relegation by the end, though it could be a bumpy ride to get there.
Dont think we were in the bottom 4 all last season? Cant see us managing that but I think we will be safe by the end.

Just compare last seasons midfield and forward players to this seasons...are we any better this season, with the players we've got in???

Whilst weβre probably a bit better than last season, League One as a whole is much stronger than last season. Survival would be a great achievement.
External investment needed if weβve got ambitions of ever doing anything of note in this division.

Heart says we have a decent season, playing some good football and finish 12th Head says we have to fight and scrap for every single point and crawl to 20th on the last day.Doing so annoys every pundit who all have us down for relegation

Thought we were fortunate to survive last season. I don't think we'll be as lucky this time. It will be a major achievement if we survive

Until I've seen the first 7/8 games,I can't really give a prediction, but I'll say 18th and safetyπ Not being muggy, but you predicted weβd go the entire 23/24 season winless away from home after weβd already beaten Fleetwood 1-0 at Highbury. On a serious note, we obviously have above a 50% chance of being relegated but thereβs precious little joy in that.

A confident and inspiring 10th place this season . Crowds up and Hurst paraded through town end of season on RWβs shoulders in celebration as a Saudi consortium throw some loose change at us securing ownership and promises of a Premiership place within 5 years . Remember you heard it here first. I thank you.π€ͺπ

Just out of interest, do we have a link to last seasons thread to see how we got on?
I'll go for a finish around 17th.π

My predictions: - O Reilly to be top scorer with 7 goals - Our new signings to be mostly injured causing us all sorts of problems - Weβll finish in 19th - At least 3 teams in league 1 to be deducted points π

I think we will produce a good entertaining standard of football and finish 15th on 58 points however the standard of our pies will still be fighting relegation.

19th, which is probably far too optimistic, as I can't identify 4 sides likely to be worse than us.
Burton was one of them, but they've now started to splash the cash.

My one reason for optimism is Hurst and Doig having a full pre season. O'Reilly looks like a cracking player, if Josh Feeney is as good as him we have two players capable of moving us up a few places in the league.
But when I look at the table as to which teams I fancy us finishing higher than I can only name Crawley, Stevenage maybe.., Burton if their experiment goes wrong... Cambridge?

The league is stronger than last year. There is a reason Shrewsbury have been highlighted as likely for relegation by every single prediction I have seen. A successful season is not being relegated. Anything better is a huge bonus Long term no idea what the plan and hopes are other than this on repeat cycle

Hurst will do well to keep us up this season and then hope for an injection of cash with the sale of the club before next season. Every victory vital this season. Looking forward to it.
