And for what it's worth, I can sort of see where Mark is coming from although disagree with the digs about 'sneaking out' and harping back to 2018.
I have no issues with people putting us down as favourites for relegation, we narrowly avoided relegation last season, lost a number of players that we would liked to have kept and probably have one of the weakest squads in the league. Our manager was sacked from a L2 side last season and despite us staying up, he had a worse record than Matt Taylor.
I know this will come across as overly negative, I don't, I just see it as a realistic picture of things and why most people are saying we will struggle. Hopefully Hurst and the players can use all of those predicting us to be relegated as inspiration and they can prove a lot of people wrong

One thing is for certain is that league 1 won’t go according to plan that’s for sure!

It will be a case of striking the right balance of being realistic that there are sides with far better resources and players in this league than we have, which could see some heavy defeats. But at the same time the team needs to work out how to get past those and really bounce back well especially aginst the smaller teams in the league where results will be much more important. Hursts previous time in chanrge did see us have a really strong mentality in the team and togetherness that go us so many late wins or equlisers and I'd hope he can get that type of mentality in this team. Its going to be a tough league and we'll need to be strong willed to get results at times

We will have our share of defeats for sure but I don't see us being rolled over. More likely settle for damage limitation if we are out of the game. But who knows!!.

The big issue for me is this squad isn't big enough to play Saturday Tuesday Saturday for weeks on the bounce, especially the way Hurst plays. Add the factor in of "not the best " history of player's when it comes to injuries with the player's we already have! We still need a defender Midfielder and another forward in my view. All three Johnson paint games as soon as the ball goes out from the kick off, make five subs and literally bring on kids to avoid the fine.
