Regarding gates, these are the games I've found from mid-week matches at home last season. Generally we've played Tuesday and Saturday at home so I've put the midweek game first, followed by the next Saturday home match, where possible I've tried to find a split of home/away and the figure in brackets is the home attendance.
As you can see, the midweek games do drop (not surprisingly), I expect that they will drop further this season.
Burton - 5,477 Lincoln - 5,602 (5,232)
Bolton - 5,901 (4,592) Reading - 6,583 (5,390)
Barnsley - 5,500 Wigan - 7,206 (6,111)
Exeter - 4,960 Carlisle - 6,721 (6,161)

The idea of making extra money from Sky is a bit of a red herring imo, as if every club in the division is receiving the money, then you’re not really any better off. And the players' agents all know about the extra money, and will be asking for it in the salaries.

And so the vicious circle begins.
