Jensen kept shaking his head at Savin during the warm up, I wasn't sure if he was annoyed by his own kicking or Savin's attempts.

Savin is the best keeper we've had for using his feet , if only he was as confident with his hands

Probably the most successful of all the summer signings, which sadly says it all about how it’s gone seeing as he’s been average at best.
We’ve downgraded in all positions.

You get what you pay for. marosi let in an average of 1.45 goals per game last season Savin is 4 goals worse off so far in comparison, and he doesnt have similar overpaid defenders in front of him he's probably on at least a third of marosis wage the fact marosi was taking home an average of £5k+ a week for 156 weeks is a huge factor of why we are were we are now at least Savin can kick it, marosi would have been better shouting HAVE IT every time he kicked the ball ;-) |

I think he has done well so far this season I didn't know what to expect from him or if he would stay on the pitch with his injury concerns.

What a strange player he is. Concedes a terrible goal from a softly struck shot at his near post and then goes on to make 2 brilliant saves. I'd love to know why he did not wear a cap today, it’s not the first time either. You could tell how much the low sun impacted him first half. The second Barnsley goal was indeed poor on his part, I had full view from Block 10, his positioning was dreadful leaving a big gap at the near post and very slow to get down to it. |

Just commented similar on the match thread. Once Toto allows him to shift inside onto his left foot it's opened up the angle for the snap shot into the corner. It's not the narrow "near post" angle that has been made out |

I brought this up before, my real concern about Savin is just how quiet he is. He doesn't seem to communicate with any of the defenders. The defensive unit includes the gk and he can see the whole picture.

Good shot stopper,but very timid coming out for crosses,and nervous on corners,and yes should make himself heard more,and organise the defence better...liable to a howler too

Worth mentioning that not one of cotterills 30ish signings went on to play at a better level than they were signed from , not one Bit of a misnomer that one. Ogbeta was signed from Man City and plays in the Championship with Plymouth. By your metric, it is a literal impossibility for him to be playing at a better/higher level than where he was signed from. Marosi also at Plymouth. Leahy, Bayliss and Pennington in League One but at bigger clubs. Most/if not all you'd take over the current crop with the exception of maybe Bayliss as pointed out by Pughy. |

Savin signed on “potential” not current level of performance.
Not as good as any of our recent keepers, permanent or loan with the exception of Burgoyne.

I thought his kicking was superb on Saturday , I think he also had the 2nd goal covered too until someone popped it in his own net , still weak in the air though , although he has no problems catching those gentle unchallenged crosses Jensen gives him 😝 teach him how to use his hands Brian please

Seems ok at shot-stopping (although he’s not in the same universe as Marosi), but I’m surprised he’s made it to the level he has when you see how quiet he is, particularly at set pieces. Defenders are just as bad. Nsiala is a big 32 year old centre half who has surely seen it all - take charge, be loud and start telling those around you what to do. |

They're not really bothered about Shrewsbury town....they get contracts,and just do enough... there's no desire there,or commitment,heart on sleeve,or anything....good luck to the next manager with that lot.....if he gets a tune out of all them.... he's a miracle worker!!🤦🤦😡
