With our next ‘most important game’ less than 3 days away posters are itching to talk about the game so though we need a tread. We’re already questioning numbers due to Easter working, the cricket season et al but need to show up in numbers to help the team against a buoyant Oxford and the travelling Oxonian army……
Although in the playoff places they’re under pressure having lost 3 out of the last 5 games so need a win to stay there. Both teams have had a two week break but hopefully that will benefit us with the arrival of Jack Price after his debut should have settled in well. I can see a different rejuvenated Salop take this 3-1 🤞

Hopefully after a 2 week break, they should be as fresh as daisies....so no excuses about fitness/tiredness please I'd take a 1-1 draw on Friday, and on Monday tbh....4 PTS from these games, and we're nearly there👍👍

My prediction is Shrewsbury Town 0-4 Oxford United. My prediction is that you will predict every match as Shrewsbury 0 The opposing team 4.

My prediction is Shrewsbury Town 0-4 Oxford United. It wasn’t funny 8 weeks ago & still isn’t now …

I think we will lose 1 nil. We must need 3 or 4 more points just to make sure we're safe and I'm sure we will get that from the other games. Oxford less than 500 to port vale the other week when they won and about 250 to Bolton where they lost 5 nil so I don't think they will bring that many fans.

Granted it was against the bottom side but the win and performance against Carlisle, the additional time on the training ground to improve on fitness (which Hurst has certainly hinted needs improving) as well as more time on the training ground to instill more of what Hurst wants from them means we should be heading into these games in good nick. Would be happy with a point come Friday, mind. But I think we have a decent chance of sneaking a win on Monday, I'll go 1-0.
Good following heading to Bristol too by the looks, pretty sure I saw the Town mention that more seating tickets are being made available...👍

It will be good to get back to some on field action, take our minds off, hopefully, the news today.

PH's pre match interview doesn't sound good in respect of injuries/illness within the squad.
Disappointed with the Kiddy performance too.

Judging by Hurst's comments in his interview, sounds like we may have a few injuries to contend with so the team sheet may be interesting!

PH says there are 5 or 6 players affected by injury or illness. So expect an unusual lineup tomorrow.
We haven't won two games in a row this season. Be amazed if we win tomorrow. Decent crowd expected from the looks of available seating.
Mon Town!

HTF do you manage to pick up so many injuries when you havnt even played a competitive game? Are these players so unfit that they get injured just training?
Hurst didnt sound too convinced with the fringe players who played against Kiddy either.
Big clear out coming in 7 games time.

I understand that Sam Purkiss will be the referee today. Refereed 29 matches this season. 128 yellows 11 Reds My blood pressure has gone up already!

Have to hand it to Hurst looking to that pre-match interview, he's pretty honest about things. I really do get the impression he's not too impressed with the cards he's been dealt.

It's an understandable blame shift though isn't it - not my fault Guv. Let's face it he's pretty lucky to have a job at this level, hes been sacked from his last two clubs leaving them at the bottom of league two. He was never going to get a job at a club in the EFL that was doing well! But the test for him comes this summer and early next season. Presume he can't wait to get rid of players who he knows he doesn't want or town can't afford

It's an understandable blame shift though isn't it - not my fault Guv. Well to be fair he has a point. I mean this is someone else's squad of players (and one that was struggling performance and results wise) and looking to the timing of his appointment, he had very little opportunity to change things about player wise.

Would love 3 points today to pretty much seal our safety this season. The further we go into April it’ll get twitchy! I’m expecting goals but hopefully we’ll get more than them 🤞🏻 Did the appeal against Shipley get rejected? Maybe I missed it …
