If you could relive one day of your life what would it be?
For me it would be a toss up between my wedding day and Live Aid.
Good job my wife doesn't read B&A 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Good job my wife doesn't read B&A 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I wouldn't feel bad about that, I'm pretty sure alot of people absolutely would not list it at all ha ha. Anyway for a while may 6th 2000 Exeter was genuinely happiest day of my life for quite a while. I was convinced we would lose and we didn't, easily the most euphoric atmosphere I've ever experienced. This was later superceded by my own wedding which was just such a crazy party where I totally felt like king of the world (ego alert) and was v happy to be marrying my wife luckily. Bonus mentions to landing in Damascus in 2010 and just discovering the most incredible place I'd ever seen plus my baby daughter giving me a hug on her own accord for first time. Anyway, thank you micky brown for absolutely enriching my life

I think reliving one day would be Exeter away as long as the result was the same. Trepidation building through anticipation to seer jubilation.
The happiest moment in my life’s a bit different. My middle son was born 5 weeks premature and although very small was sent home the same day. It wasn't long before the mid wife called a doctor who turned out to be newly qualified. She was concerned and told us to take him straight back to the hospital. He was immediately admitted and diagnosed with pneumonia and a collapsed lung. We spent the next 3 weeks at the hospital where he was very poorly, not really improving and no one would say he was going to be OK.
Anyway we turned up one day and were immediately called into see Mr Capps the paediatrician. We had to wait a few minutes not knowing what was wrong but when he arrived he’d got a smile on his face for the first time since we’d met him. He told us good news that Oli was going to be OK which he hadn’t been able to say before. Sheer joy 🥲

Difficult to pick one
I'd certainly say the day of my marriage is up there, I'd like to take it all in again and perhaps have one or two less to drink!
Football wise, there is the last game Gay Meadow as I didn't quite appreciate how different things would be so would be good to take it all back in. But if I had to pick a single game then I'd say our 1 all draw against Ipswich in April 2022, a bit of a nondescript game but the last Town game I went to with my dad.

18th June 1984. Battle of Orgreave. Miners Strike. I would like to wake up on that morning again and refuse to do my job. It was the day that I lost all respect for my work colleagues and the Police in general. The day that has had the most impact on my life and a day I am still ashamed to have been part of.

Crikey, that’s powerful stuff. Thank you. Some years ago I attended a lecture on Orgreave and the events that unfolded in the build up and on the day in question, it was presented by an ex miner and an ex copper- who were really balanced and open throughout. It was as powerful a presentatiion as I have ever been to. Perhaps not in our lifetimes, but one day Orgreave will be up there with Hillsborough and the fastly unfolding Royal Mail scandal.

There are renewed calls for there to be a public enquiry into Orgreave following the recent C4 documentary. I would be first line to give evidence. Not only what happened on the day but what place up to that date. One example. Met Police riding through the villages with Holiday brochures stuck on the windows of their riot vans to wind up miners families who were not able to afford food whilst Police were coining it in with the overtime. I could go on and on but this thread is really for those wanting to bring up the good times. Sorry.

Don’t be. The thread is about one day in your life. It doesn’t say it has to be cheerful.

Holding my daughter for the very first time just hours after she had been born, one heck of a precious moment, I wish time had just stopped still at that moment.

Sporting; Last day of Cheltenham festival 1995. Reliving would have added benefit of knowing all the winners?

Sorry. otjc.org.uk/about/The Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign includes ex-miners, Trades Unionists, activists and others who are determined to get justice for miners who were victims of police lies and cover ups at Orgreave in June 1984. On 31st October 2016 Amber Rudd announced in Parliament that there would be no investigation or inquiry of any type on the grounds there had been no deaths, no convictions, no miscarriage of justice, no new lessons for current police forces to learn and that it was a long time ago. Utterly shameful!

This is a question I think about a lot. I would give up all I own to relive the last day I spent with each of my parents. Both passed away unexpectedly and quite suddenly, and just to have that last day with them again.
My kids think I’m soft but I always say goodbye to them with a hug. You just never know.

We appear to have got the old Doctor back. What a superb answer. Additionally I would want to ask so many questions about their younger days plus an explanation of some people on their wedding photos, they look like family but I don't know the names

one of my best days
1st march 1992
having got home from saturday football at 6ish the night before, I met my sister in law at my house telling me this is it, in fact it was, my partner had gone into labour, and at 5:28 Sunday morning I became a dad, things were not straight forward, my partner needed an op, and out she came at 930, all ok, this was the point I handed back 'the' baby' and made my excuses and sneaked off, I mean I had an important cup semi final to play, I got there just as my side were about to leave the changing rooms with a reserve keeper in goal, I managed to convince them I should play, my understudy was pretty relived to be fair, he was better outfield anyway, I started and we won 1-0, I have one of my best ever games, , shame days like this dont come along quite often

A day in June 1976, had been to a party at Shrewsbury Cricket Club the previous evening, had last A level exam in the morning, then spent 3 hours in Boat House garden with school friends in beautiful weather. Then in evening went to Ludlow Festival. A perfect day in that glorious summer.

Personal life, birth of my first child.
Football wise, 9th May, 1987, Birmingham City 0 Shrewsbury Town 2. Stayed up on the last day of the season and sent Sunderland down. Probably the last day that I hugged a complete stranger! Would probably get arrested for that nowadays!

Fifty years ago today I delivered a baby during the course of my job. It was in a dirty filthy flat in the middle of Smethwick. The West Indian mother had mental health issues and didn't want the baby. She was kicking, biting and spitting and screaming loudly. I delivered the baby minutes before the ambulance arrived. I went in the ambulance with mother and baby to have treatment for bites. Very proud day. Mother and baby were obviously kept apart and the baby taken into care. I wanted to see the little girl as she grew up but was told not to get involved. Think of her a lot especially on this day each year. Happy day. 😊

Remember Birmingham fans waiting in the ground for Sunderland final score to see if they stayed up. Sunderland were winning and missed a penalty
