I might not have made the best point but we have fans making demands that costs money we don't have , maybe we should have stuck with Taylor and froze the prices 🙃 Or maybe Roland shouldn't have driven nearly every investor of serious money away! Don't talk sense, it might catch on! 👍

I didn't vote by the way
What if you now go match to match but want to get a season ticket ?

Interesting 50/50 split on those renewing and not renewing season tickets.
Match by match would seem to be unaffected by a price increase on this poll of small numbers.

A firm ‘don’t know’ from me.
Think I’ve missed a couple of home games this season but feeling like a break from the season ticket might be good, as I’m going on my own these days & £400 would certainly feel steep. I generally get to a couple of away games but haven’t bothered this season and that’s unlikely to change.
My sons used to be STHs but live away now. They’re home regularly but rarely go to games - I’m sure that price is a factor. They’re handy at finding streams for games too. I don’t blame them for doing that - televised football is even more outrageously priced.
I might yet renew but there are a lot of personal factors for me to consider at the moment. Picking a game now & again is quite appealing. It would also give me chance to perhaps start going to some rugby league games again, as well as dropping in on Whitchurch Alport & Market Drayton Town.
Will definitely be early bird or nothing though.

Incorrect This season I'm game to game , I have no option to become a season ticket holder according to you , so sorry if I dared to mention it after you started analysing the results

There's usually plenty of spare seats in the ground, if they bring in a rise, then bring it in with offers - bring a mate? bring the family? bring the kids for free? an offer on a "book" of tickets? Offers at prices that don't upset those shelling out on a season ticket of course.

The poll suggests that only half of existing season ticket holders will definitely renew, small sample size but should still be alarming to the powers that be.

Football fans are mad, they’ll often blindly follow and find ways to pay anything. I’ll be horrified if it’s over £400 to watch Town but I’ll renew.
I’d even agree with the ‘there will be more season ticket holders than last year’ line if the Hurst bounce continues. That doesn’t make it right and I don’t know why that comment is said with such glee.
Premier League clubs are charging folk like us into the many hundreds and sometimes thousands for their tickets and then mental amounts for cup matches when they can increase their usual match day prices. A lot (all/most?) still sell out. It’s shocking.
Upping the prices significantly over a 2/3 year period is our equivalent. It’s probably more justified at our level to keep up with increasing costs, but the idea it can’t be discussed and bemoaned by the fans who have to pay it is absolutely bizarre. It’s a real concern for many, many people who want to watch Town every week without fail but will have real anxiety that they can’t afford the prices.

I can’t find exact details of previous season ticket prices. Looks like in Feb 2013 for the following season was £235 for cat b. If kept up with inflation, that’d be £315 now.
Not sure if that’s relevant.

The poll suggests that only half of existing season ticket holders will definitely renew, small sample size but should still be alarming to the powers that be. Try the poll on one of the more modern "hip and trandy" social madia platforms. I'd suggest that the demographic on here is mostly hard bitten long term fans who've witnessed years of "boring" football and are fed up of it or fans who are simply getting a bit long in the tooth to commit to attending every game and will pick and chose when their ailments aren't playing up.
But wait, now there's Hurst, if he can make it feel like we might do something next season then fans will be exchanging their hard earned dosh for season tickets with queues around the block, well up to Roland's Bentley anyway.

I'd imagine League One average wages have been screwed by the likes of Derby, Wednesday and others. If you crop out the big six each season, I bet they're not wildly different to a decade ago. Whereas then our top earners might've been on £3,000 then, they're on £4,000 now.

Come on guys, another thread hijacked by some post-count packing and back and forths.
I thought there was a new rule about making your point and moving on?
To answer the question, yes I'll probably renew again as the direct debit payment every month isn't really missed but as I've said previously, were I not a season ticket holder it would be impossible for me to justify £24-£25 a game more often than five or six times a season.
I think we'll get to a point, if we haven't already, where 70-80% of our attendance is made up of season ticket holders either renewing from the previous season or corporate. Probably not a good long-term solution if you want to get new fans through the gates.
The club have to be more dynamic with pricing and run schemes through the season to entice new people in.

not so much hijacked as just another poor poll, missing vital options, and even the title suggested increases are 100% going to happen, this along with an opening post to go with it despited being asked not to do that blueandamber.proboards.com/thread/101937/pollsthese polls need to be thought out properly with all options given and zero hint of how the poll creator might feel about it, and certainly not a misleading title

( you never miss an opportunity to pilch bash lol , this thread, 1 post 2 days ago, I post & you arrive less than 60 seconds later 😧, clearly didn't read the post hence your pathetic claim of a new rule, just intent of stirring the s**t) another thread ruined ? its run its course I'd say new rule in 2021 when polls were reintroduced ( I added the link , I guess you didn't bother reading it in the few seconds it you to reply ) if the admin cant appear and remind of what the rules are then your anarchy plans will be the order of the day

There are some clubs in the National League who charge over £20 now, it sadly seems inevitable that we will paying over £25 a match for a Salop home fixture very soon, particularly so if we remain in League One for the foreseeable future.
