I wasnt talking about any incidents, I didnt hear of any. But as we saw some posts on here saying they could get tickets in the home fans due to living in close by areas/knowing fans of the other club. There is that, and also that part of the Hawthorns is the families / corporate / hangers-on area. A lot of people on Albion forums are saying those Wolves fans in that area would likely have got them from someone involved with Albion, be it the club itself, or sponsors / players etc. Would Wolves players family etc of had tickets in that area also?

Not sure although it’s probably similar to here with corporate tickets having a certain allocation. With supporters living in close circles it wouldn’t surprise me if some slipped across to visiting supporters.

This story in the Express and Star highlights that there's ordinary people in there, they are not all hooligans. Nice gesture from the WBA captain too.
" Declan Langford braved hoards of fans in the corner of Halfords Lane to alert medics and stewards when his dad passed out with severe pain in the back of his head. The family, from Darlaston, have received a personal message from Albion captain Jed Wallace thanking Declan and enquiring about the welfare of his dad who is still in hospital"

"West Brom have revealed a number of individuals have had their season tickets suspended and could face stadium bans as part of an ongoing investigation into the Black Country Derby violence last Sunday".

Most were west brom fans, fighting with police.......and could get life bans I've never dreamed of fighting with opposing fans at a football match, but the times I've been part of an innocent group of fans being treated like animals by the police I could well have lashed out and got myself a ban, I watched the 3 episodes of the 1984 miners strike last week and sometimes the only hooligans about are the old bill themselves . I do think things have got better since the introduction of the spotters

I do think things have got better since the introduction of the spotters And the introduction of police bodycams...
Around the time of the miner's strike there was a strike at my workplace, the first day a van full of rather unsavoury looking policemen sat in the next street, ready to come in all guns blazing. No likelihood of any trouble at our place, so they never turned up again. We talk of "the police", but there's all sorts who make up the police, same as there's all sorts of football fans.
