Its all about the money for town so any match that will attract tv would be great. Alternatively a draw against a team with the quality of the Notts County defence namely Wrexham.

As I’ve said before on here I’ve watched Telford United quite a few times over the years . They had a decent side at one time and could be relied on to give anyone a game as Stoke City under Lou Macari were to find out. Rob Edwards and Sean Parish tried to resurrect them as they began to slip further down the pyramid but it didn’t work out. It had been suggested that Shrewsbury Town and Telford United merge to form Shropshire United with a new ground somewhere by the old A5 but , surprise , surprise it didn’t happen .It was never going to . Sad to see Telford United in its present state . I sometimes wonder what would have happened if Shrewsbury Town hadn’t managed to get promoted back into the football league at the first attempt. |
