An appalling choice of tv games. Absolutely nothing going to grassroots football. And they wonder why so many of us give up.
I like Everton but watching them play Crystal Palace holds no excitement for me whatsoever.

I like Everton but watching them play Crystal Palace holds no excitement for me whatsoever. I will probably watch the Sunderland vs Newcastle game because it's certainly going to be a cracking atmosphere but that will be about it. Maidstone United v Stevenage/Port Vale Newport County/Barnet v Eastleigh 2 games I would have gone for.

But still money going to money rather than grassroots.

Our game in the 2nd round vs Yeovil was shown on ITVX only and not on tele. The round before that vs Mansfield was on S4C. Our owners will do their best to get the game covered via ESPN so there will be that route to watch, but I am highly anticipating that the Rownd a Rownd omnibus will be disrupted by this game as a 12pm KO on the Sunday. As for allocation, we will likely fill the away end, which I imagine will have some segregation at either end for safety reasons? Unless Wrexham fans have any Town supporting friends (such as myself) then I imagine that will be the only way we will get in the home end The large gaps in the corners between stands usually mean that losing seats for segregation reasons isn’t required, there’ll probably just be a small army of police stood in the gap.

The only vaguely positive one from a personal POV is Spurs v Burnley on the Friday evening. Potentially a chance to get "new" spurs ground ticked and a few beverages in nearby Redemption Brewery with my Burnley mates in the London Clarets!!!
But as TV picks go pretty uninspiring stuff!!

I want to watch Maidstone. I don't care about Everton, or Arsenal, or most of the other teams I can see week in week out.

No I was referring to clubs exactly like BC and the non league clubs who need it far more and are far more interesting to see on the TV. They earn their chance and it’s a shame the broadcasters don’t give them the chance to take it.

I can understand 3 of the games (Arsenal v Liverpool, Wigan v Man Utd and Sunderland v Newcastle) but the other three are a joke. I didn't expect us to be on because a a L1 v L2 fixture doesn't scream attractive cup tie, yes it's a derby but the vast majority of the country couldn't care less
The games for tv normally fall into 3 categories, lower/non league v club much higher up the pyramid, two big premiership sides playing each other or a well renowned local derby. However in recent years there's been an increase in run of the mill Premier League where the two teams play reserve sides, I don't think Everton v Palace is going to help rekindle people's fondness for the FA Cup

I can’t see what’s interesting about the Arsenal game or any Premier v Premier to be honest. These games are on enough throughout the year and in the later stages of the cup. It’s so boring.

I suspect plenty of others feel the same, however the reality is many are attracted by two big sides playing each other and for that reason the viewing figures will be high (which ultimately is what the tv companies are in it for)

I know but it’s just such a shame and a waste of an opportunity for small clubs.

Club have had to stop selling front two rows of away end due to behaviour of some Clubs fans we have played over last few seasons

Sure the Wrecks will sell out their section undoubtedly. Just wonder if we will? It's a game that many Town fans have waited an age for but it's not against a big team so we wont pick up all the glory hunters like we were playing Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea etc. Like it or not Wrecks are not a huge draw for any other fans than their own. Your stadium will sell out because if your fans don’t buy the tickets, Wrexham fans will. Not sure how they will buy tickets for the home end? I would expect the Club not to allow any new ticket accounts to be created and only accounts created prior to the draw being allowed to purchase tickets. Unless of course they want to buy half season tickets.

I’m not thinking about Wrexham yobs getting their hands on tickets for the home end. If there’s spare seats, genuine Wrexham fans can get hands on tickets. I could, for example.

Pleased to hear you have an account with us and have been to see us play at home before. To be fair I'd imagine there will be the some Wrexham fans dotted around the home end as they will have got tickets through Shrewsbury supporting friends/family. When we played Wolves I got a ticket for a good mate of mine who is a Wolves fan and I knew he would no bother. I know some of our fans will be outraged by that, but not everyone takes football rivalries so seriously. Amongst my dads circle of friends was a Wrexham fan and occasionally he would come to the odd Shrewsbury game with the group, I have no doubt he would have got him a ticket if he couldn't have got one for the away end.

I wouldn’t want to watch Wrexham in the Shrewsbury end btw, but the point I’m making is that I could if I really wanted to. I dare say a few decent Wrexham fans will sit alongside Shrewsbury fans, let’s hope none of the knuckleheads get their hands on tickets.

Or not, as its a home end? Regardless of if the home ends sell out or not, you will have your allocation, if you cant get a ticket then tough 🤷🏻♂️

But I believe Town have now changed the ticketing policy as a result of that Wolves game due to Town fans giving tickets to friends supporting the opposition!! Each account holder will get just the one ticket - I may be wrong but I think this was used for the Liverpool cup game a few years back and worked quite well.

Why?? Could see why it might well be a 12 oclock kick off given the possibility of trouble between a few of both sides fans. So why 2 oclock?? And why move it to Sunday ??
