Question for the stato’s; when did we last win five consecutive league games ? Maybe in the non-league season?

March/April 2015 yes. We lost to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and drew away to Walsall in the FA Cup during the 6 game winning run in the league October/November 2014.

Last won 5---- was it middle 90's, when Paul Evans and Richard Scott were in midfield, remember having a good run, and them 2 scoring a good few--- was it league 1???

If memory serves me correctly we won 7 on the bounce in 95-96, think it was early on that season but I might be misremembering. Edit - just looked at the final table and I must be misremembering. I remember us winning 1-0 against Swindon and I am sure that was our seventh win in a row, but it can't have been that season. Funny how the memory plays tricks!

So when do they annouce Steve Cptterill as League 1 manager of the month for January? We lost 3-0 at home on 1st Jan, then won 4. Derby also won 4 league games and an FA cup tie, and Sheffield Wednesday were unbeaten, 3 league wins, and a cup win after drawing first game. So Paul Warne for Manager of the Month I would think

Not far off - we won six on the bounce that season
28/10/95 Rotherham 3-1 31/10/95 Oxford 2-0
4/11/95 Brentford 2-0
11/11/95 Marine 11-2 (FA Cup) 18/11/95 Burnley 3-0 25/11/95 Swindon 1-0
Next four games weren't bad either - drawing one and winning three!! Then it sort of fell apart!!

Aahh, thanks for that, so I wasn't far off then, I thought it was seven not six. Remember that season, think we were fifth or sixth at Christmas and then went 16 or 17 without a win to get relegated!!

We had the afore-mentioned run of 10 games with nine wins and one draw - we were then nicely placed in eighth position with 32 points. Then we lost to Wycombe on the 23 Dec 95- our record in the league (including the Wycombe game) after that was :-
P W D L
26 3 12 11
We finally finished in 18th place on 53 points. Though we had a few cup wins in that time including a trip to Wembley!! We got relegated in 1996/97. Apologies don't wish to come across as a clever arse/know it all!!!

Which probably explains why those with long memories are still worrying about getting to 50 points.

Definitely won 7 league games in a row in 95-96 - our record I think - the 7th a win at home to Brighton. We were relegated the following season.
