I recollect going to Cardiff away in the early 90’s, last games of the season and they were promoted or won the league. Town fans were on a terrace behind the goal and there was only about 50 of us.
It was pretty lively all around us to say the least and we got thumped.
It certainly wasn’t a carnival fancy dress day !

I was there but have to question the number in attendance, I’ve have said 3/400 from memory but maybe less…Other things stuck in my memory were police standing with us doing the ‘Ayatollah’ with Sam Dellman pitchside. Being pelted by coins and the police blaming us for being there, more fans on the pitch surround for the last 10 mins than in the stands (almost)…. We did leave quickly after the finale whistle and a quick get away as Cardiff fans were celebrating…. I also remember a lack of pubs with unfriendly doormen although in the end we sneaked in the Ninnian Park which turned out fairly friendly.

Maybe time has muddled my memory, I’ve just watched the replay of their 2-1 win to win and their fans are behind the goal and Town fans in the seats, now I do remember that and there were several hundred town fans in the seats. The game I,m recalling we were behind the goal.
Who knows !

They won the league the following week and caused mayhem at Sc***horpe, we won the league the following year at Sc***horpe without causing mayhem. For the Cardiff game there were quite a number of us in the end section of the stand (thankfull). Left quickly at the final whistle and got back over the the coaches but it was still a bit warm to say the least.

The day we lost to the Doncaster Rovers pub team, I don’t remember seeing any other Town fans. I guess there were but I felt too miserable to notice them. Like Bizzy I liked going to reserve games, especially on weekday afternoons after I retired. I believe I’d be the only Town supporter at some of them. I really miss reserve team football. snap. Remember going to away Exeter City Reserves away and it was played at their Training Ground. Think I was the only person there not employed by either Club. I was standing reading my paper to kill time when a voice said " What the hell are you doing here?" Looked up and it was Chic Bates who was manager at the time🤣🤣

It was definitely their last game at Ninion Park and clinched promotion. You could have had the choice of sitting or standing maybe?

Think the third trip to Darlington that had been called off twice after we’d got there, must have been 40 ish of us

Long time ago but I sort of remembered we werent given the choise, we were told that we were only getting the end section of the stand as the whole terracing behind the goal was for home fans as it was such a big game for them. I wasnt aware of any Town fans in any other section until reading on here. I've seen the game on Utube too, and seem to remember the Cardiff fans climbing the fencing all along that end fence. But as I say it was a long time ago so I might have got it wrong. Guess we are all talking Cardiff away 1st May 93 that we lost 2-1, and not getting confused with the game on 17th April 95 where we won 2-1?

It was their last game in league 2 I’ll check but I’d guess later than both those dates. Sam Hellman was chairman definitely. Hmmm memory not their last game at Ninion …..I’m talking about 28th April 2001 👍 Excuse. I’m getting mixed up with the year before when we played Swansea at their last home game at Vetch fields before they were promoted.

The game I,m recalling we were behind the goal. Who knows ! I def remember being high up in the seats at the side whilst a good few thousand of them were on the pitch doing that 'ayatollah' thing that was kind of like the poznan. I also remember being at the aforementioned margate / Dover game. For some weird reason I seemed to be literally the only fan at the wrong end to the other town fans and when we got a penalty that luke Rodgers subsequently missed he collected the ball from right in front of where I stood beforehand. I said something like ' you can do it Lukey Lad ' or something and then when he missed I felt personally responsible. Stoke definitely wasn't down to me though.

Cwmbran away friendly the early 2000s, played on the University pitches in Llanrumney just outside Cardiff. Think there were less than 10 of us.

I went to watch Salop Yuff v Wolves Yuff away. I thought I was the only Salop fan there. I stood just by the Wolves Yuff team coach, and every time he tried to shout out instructions to the players, I bellowed over the top of him encouraging our lads who looked surprised to see a Salop scarf and that any Juan had bovvered to turn up. I could tell I was getting up the Wuffler bloke's nose. He spent most of the match trying to give me some grief, but I just ignored him. Our lads seemed to respond well and gave a good account of themselves, although I believe they lost 2 - 0.
Any road up, As I was going back to the car, I heard some Juan coming up behind me. I thought to myself, "this is it, jaytee owd lad, you can't run and you can't fight so you'll just have to stand there and take it". It turned out to be the mum of Juan of the Salop players, who came to thank me for coming to watch. So there were 2 of us.

I recall going to Aldershot in the Durban era and not seeing another Town supporter. No doubt there were some there but couldn’t have be many. I think we drew two apiece.

Grimsby away August 83.just before the start of my final A Level year. We drew 1-1 and I think we about 100 ? Was it that few ? I think that was the day Shrewsbury Cricket Club had a final at Lords. I remember thinking me and Oggie should both have been there rather than Grimsby. The cricket club had an amazing last over win That was the game that when Oggie came over and shouted " does anyone know how the crickets going", there was a few more than 100. 2 days later there was less than 30 of us away at Newcastle on the bank holiday monday, great day with close on 30,000 there and Salop winning 1 nil. Ex Sunderland and ex Geordie loanie Alan Brown getting the winner

In the days before segregation you wouldn’t know! I’ve had some very lonely experiences - it was the lot of an exile at that time

Jumped up when Brown scored, and was quickly told to sit down and shut up 😂. I did, with a big smile on my face
