I have been the only Town fan in the away end at Swansea one night in the Welsh Cup. The other 20 Town fans were in the stand.
Away end had 7 people in it. 2 Police Officers, 2 Neutrals, me and 2 Swansea fans.
Also at East Fife away there were 7 of us but only 3 of us saw the Town's Final goal as four of them had to leave with 10 minutes to go to get last train back to Salop.

There was a game with no fans in the away end despite hundreds in the home end……. Also the last game excluding conference with no segregation. We lost 1-0….??

I'm guessing here but I always remember going to Gillingham away on a Tuesday night in a cup match with my dad, strange the things you remember but I guess the distance for a Tuesday night sticks in my head. Anyway, thanks to the internet, I believe it was 1990 and we lost 1-0 in front of a crowd of 2,613, I'm assuming there were very few Salop fans there

I was at that game but I have no excuses because at that time I was living just 10 miles away from Gillingham, just outside Strood!!

9 of us on Smithys bus to Bradford City in the League Group Cup game December 1981 (??). Played through constant snow, we were stood on the big open end (as it was then).
0-0 at 90 mins, 0-0 after extra time, went to pens and by then no one could give a stuff who won (we did). Enough snow that we only just got back over the Pennines before they closed the M62. We didnt play another match for several weeks as it was the start of the big freeze.
All for the love of watching your club.

for a town league game including home fans i've been to a game in the 600s margate , great day out all round At least half of them were Town fans that day I remember. Long day out, made me appreciate the hours spent on the road if you support clubs either in the far north or deep south going to games.

I remember it being freezing cold, but a lot less snow once we got over the Pennines. And we won a penalty shootout, I think

Why was it played on a Sunday? Because it was played at Dover (Margate having ground work done) and Dover had played there on the Saturday. Pitch was pretty ropey because of that.

Myself and five others - not all of whom are still with us, sadly - travelled to Cleethorpes (Grimsby of course) by train in December 1967(?). Apart from winning, I can only recall the name of their keeper (Harry Wainman) and "Flowers in the Rain" (The Move) being high in the charts....oh, it was bloody cold too!

Pompey away on an open terrace and bitterly cold New Years Day c 1985/6. Very few there and lost either 3-0 or 4-0.

I think that was the day Shrewsbury Cricket Club had a final at Lords. I remember thinking me and Oggie should both have been there rather than Grimsby. The cricket club had an amazing last over win

The day we lost to the Doncaster Rovers pub team, I don’t remember seeing any other Town fans.
I guess there were but I felt too miserable to notice them.
Like Bizzy I liked going to reserve games, especially on weekday afternoons after I retired. I believe I’d be the only Town supporter at some of them. I really miss reserve team football.
