Firstly, thanks to Pilch for letting me put this up Last year my dad (Brian Kitson) passed away, some of you may have known him as he was a lifelong town fan, a steward until we moved grounds and also treasurer/secretary for the Super Blues for many years. I wanted to do something in his memory and have managed to obtain a spot at this years London Marathon where I am raising money for the Samaritans. On 3rd February I am hosting a pub quiz at the Bagley Club, the quizmaster will be fellow town fan Ian Meredith. As part of this I'm also running a raffle, I've also had a good response from local businesses for prizes and STFC have been very kind to donate a signed ball and a voucher (for up to 4 people) for a game of your choice. If anyone would like a raffle ticket (£1 each or £4 for a book of 5) or even interested in taking part in the quiz then please PM me. Alternatively if anyone knows of any businesses who would be willing to donate a prize then again, please PM me. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/paul-kitson9 facebook.com/events/s/big-fat-charity-pub-quiz/1311293372988580/Many thanks Paul

Contact every Town sponsor, they will likely donate something.

I'm not on FB. Whats the details for the quiz? 👍 No problem The quiz is Friday 3rd February at Bagley Sports & Social Club, min of 2, max of 6 people with entry fee of £3 per person. You can obviously turn up on the night but I'm asking people to let me know where they want a table and for how many (where possible), just so we can have an idea of numbers If you are interested then PM me and happy to book you a table. Oh and regarding contacting the sponsors, I've contacted several but so far haven't had much of a response.

Wonder if there is anything the club can do to, say, list sponsor names and prize donated, along with publicity for your event, in the programme? That woud ensure the sponsors who donate get some recognition.

I'll provide a full list of prizes soon but I've currently got approx 25 prizes from businesses such as Beefy Boys, La Lanterna, Planet Doughnut, Hobsons Brewery, Ludlow Brewery, the Flaxmill and British Ironworks. I've also got a signed pair of goalkeeper gloves from Joe Hart which may interest some of you.
For those who are interested in having a raffle ticket, I can take payment via PayPal or online banking, alternatively I'll be about before next week's match if anyone prefers cash.
Any questions let me know
Thanks
Paul

Thanks to those who purchased tickets, through the quiz and raffle we raised over £1,200 so it was a hugely successful evening. The STFC related prizes had interesting homes - the tickets went to a part time scouser, the Joe Hart gloves went to a Wolves fan and the signed ball went to a woman from Telford who I think has zero interest in football!
