Some signing for them it time for Saturday. He was signed on a 4 year contract by Fulham from Swansea for £20 million. He's now presumably signed for Wycombe on a free transfer. Nice work by Ainsworth. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfie_Mawsonyes a very nice piece of work understandable that he resigned with his old club but for a period of time he was a free agent just a pity we did go for him. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62506312Wycombe have re-signed central defender Alfie Mawson on a one-year deal. The 28-year-old former Chairboys player of the year returns to Adams Park after being released by Fulham in May. Mawson had been training with Gareth Ainsworth's League One side before signing a contract. He played a pivotal part in their run to the 2015 League Two play-off final and then swept the board at Wanderers' end-of-season honours while on loan from Brentford."

Some signing for them it time for Saturday. Blimey. Sounds ridiculous but actually he's only played 17 league games in the last 2 years and has had fairly substantial injuries to both knees. Still young enough though and if they can get him fit it is an outstanding signing

did he have anything to do with the very late substitution of the red arrows ? having a spitfire now instead, quite apt ;-)

Exactly 20 miles from my house in Reading so was excited about getting my ticket for this before I was reminded of our stats vs Wycombe..
Speaking of tickets, just like for Morecambe away, it only gave me the option to "add to smartcard" and despite following the help guide online and checkout page, still nowhere for me to be able change it to my personal address for delivery method. Just like for Morecambe, I've sent an email about this but I presume my ticket will be sent to Wycombe for collection.
Is anyone else having the same issue as me?

No bothering with Wycombe tomorrow, haven’t got over the £7 price of a pie from last season so make sure you eat before you arrive 👍

Best bet for cheaper food would be Linda's van just outside the main gate. You will have your own beer tent just inside the gates on the left. The club are allowing plastic bottled water in due to the heat. Might be wise to bring a spare bottle top as they may still take the top off. Any news on Pierre getting a new club, him and Mawson were unstoppable for us back in 2014/15

Trouble is, we've heard this sort of thing before and it's come to nothing. We are already 2 senior pro's down (Bennett & O'Brien) and we are only 2 league games in.

SC might not pay too much attention to the youngsters, but he might have to this season. Cant imagine we will be so lucky with long term I juries this time round.

There isn't any issue and that's what I'm going to do, I was just merely pointing out I was still having issues with the new ticketing system in the sense I still can't order a ticket to be delivered to my address. Credit where its due mind, Martin in the ticket office very prompt with a reply to my issue which will hopefilly get sorted this time.

Fancard is for home games only I know which is why I thought it was wrong when I ordered my Morecambe away ticket, emailed the Ticket Office then but had the same issue when ordering a ticket for Wycombe away. Generally no major issue as I'll just pick it up at the ground tomorrow 👍

I hope we don't go with Moore again but I fear we might set out defensively, he was awful on Tuesday , tom is almost certainly not getting a run, Udoh looked to have twinged something during the first half and seemed to be labouring but then scored so maybe he was just tired, only town will know if he's fully fit and will definitely start if anywhere near, I'd like to see pyke get the nod along side him which probably isn't the best of games to try and make a point in, Nurse also came on at half time, and town were a far better side 2nd half after the changes
im going with
marosi nurse, Flanagan, Dunkley, pennington, da costa Bayliss shipley, Leahy udoh, pyke
we will almost certainly get an early chance and have to take it, marosi has looked shaky so far for me, some punches instead of catches and a little ropey with his feet although I was convinced he was going to get caught last season but never did, , maybe a couple of early takes will give him his full confidence for the rest of the game
tip for tomorrow, shipley to hit Jacobson hard very early ;-)
first goalscorer to win
if I was to have a bet I'd go 1-1

Wasn't exactly a success last season but we didn't tend to look out of place too often. But I do recall we were second best to Wycombe by a fair distance the last time we played there, we were never in it from the off. So interesting to see if we can at least get a foothold in this one...

I’ve gone for a Wycombe win at HT & FT.

Expect Moore to be back especially for an away game against a tough opponent. I'd gamble for as above but with Moore in for Pyke and remain as a 3421

With today arguably being the hottest day that a full league programme has ever taken place I would suggest that the results in most matches will be influenced by which teams have players that adapt best to the heat. It will also be an ordeal for many supporters.

I’ve been thinking the same. It’s not a day for fast football and everyone involved- players, management, refs, and supporters need to ensure that they adapt accordingly.
If my memory hasn’t failed me completely I think the away end is in the shade at Wycombe?

It will also be an ordeal for many supporters. The day we kicked off our Conference season in 2003 was the day that hottest records were updated. I think that was about 38 degrees. It's been updated since once or twice. I think the FL kicked off that day too. I dont think today is going to be as hot, but still pretty warm.

Will there be water breaks during the game?
The Premier League will be doing so but I've not seen anything mentioned about the Football League.
