I think the only time we've won there is the 7-0 win so that record + our lacklustre start means I'll gladly take a point

One of those not expected to win we are going to win: 1 nil Udoh to score, Pennington, Pyke and Leahy to have good efforts saved.

Few more selection questions after last night. Back 6 will remain the same as Saturday I'm sure. But midfield and up top bit more unclear. Is Udoh fit enough to get a starting spot? Does Moore retain a midfield role? Did Pyke even push himself into the starting XI?

Plan A. Knick a 1-0 with a set piece goal. Think it’s a good time to play them as looking weaker defensively and whilst good attacking options I think we’ll defend better than Burton. Replace Bowman with Udoh, otherwise same line up as last league game.

35 degrees heat will be a factor. It will not be a fast moving game. It will be down to skill. We need to style our play on the 1970 Brazil World Cup team. No problem there then!

I do hope Taylor Moore isn't going to take over as the fans favourite from Pykey to give a verbal kicking to. He's getting used to a new position. I'll bet he can't go for a s**t without some Juan saying he was too far from the toilet paper.
Lettuce give him a chance to bed in.

Worst away day in the Football League.
£25.00 a ticket.
We never win there.
Good luck to those making the trip.

Though during that first half 10% of me did want to rip the ticket up when it comes through the post. I'm going for a 0-2 Wycombe defeat, won't be a great game though with the 35 degree heat as another poster said

Does not bode well - we have played them 27 times in the league since 1993 and only two victories!!! 14 draws though!!
(Apologies - should read whole of thread before posting!!! Just seen post fron Northwestman)

Luckily our team won't have many of the players responsible for that record in it. So it's up to our team of 2022 and the management team to knock that "we never do well against them" record on the head.

Ali Al-Hamadi once drove within a ten mile radius of our ground. You know it's just typical that he'll score against us on Saturday.

Lettuce give him a chance to bed in. To be fair, only one person seems to have made a final decision on Moore after only three games, and after the Morecambe game you could see his point. Others have expressed scepticism about him playing a role in midfield but, as you say, hopefully the vast majority of fans will give him enough time to settle in. It’s not as though he is solely responsible for our disappointing start. Unfortunately some people love a witch hunt.

Steve C isn't in the business of making you look a damn fool - does nobody any good. So he must think he's doing the right thing with Moore, and provided Moore is putting in the effort, no blame can be attached to him. If it never works, Steve C will change it, but you have to bear in mind that he's succeeded in bringing out better than fans expected in Mr Udoh and Mr Pyke and releasing EBL and Pierre and replacing with better.

based on stats we have no chance, unless the midfield start to play like a midfield we will strugle so the best i can hope for a is a draw.

I felt last night that Carlisle was the extra pre season friendly that we should have played.

Any sign of the lesser-spotted OBrien for Saturday??

Marosi
Da Costa Pennington Dunkley Flanagan Leahy
Moore Bayliss Shipley
Bloxham Udoh
Whilst I’d prefer Leahy in midfield, the midfield has been far too defensive with two holding & Nurse hasn’t quite looked at it the last few games at LWB

Leahy didn't even play LWB on Tuesday. And Bloxham was hooked at half time. Expect Nurse to be back at LWB. Midfield/Attack probably depends on fitness

Some signing for them it time for Saturday. He was signed on a 4 year contract by Fulham from Swansea for £20 million. He's now presumably signed for Wycombe on a free transfer. Nice work by Ainsworth. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfie_Mawson
