Just bought tickets for the first home game of the season. Have received QR codes for the kids which I can cope with, but in place of a QR code mine says "smartcard upload".
What smartcard ? What does this mean ? No instructions....

I guess the smartcard is the new season ticket, I'll get one with 23 games on it, you get one that just has 1 which you can re-use I may be wrong ( always a first time )

Here 's an idea...go to turnstile and pay CASH to gain entry. Worked perfectly well for at least 125 years previously

That will mean the club will be issuing everyone who buys a single ticket with a smartcard ? Do I wait for it through the post or do I have to pick it up ? Sounds all a bit expensive and logistically difficult - some instructions / guidance from the club would be useful.

And if someone doesn’t use Twitter? Surely something on the main site would be a good idea. There should be an update there telling people what to do if there are problems and there should be people manning the phones tomorrow to aid enquiries. If they can’t be bothered to get volunteers, then they should move people from their jobs for an hour or two to answer the b….dy phones.

There is definitely something just not quite right. It may not be our finances but there is definitely a morale problem somewhere.

Just looking to the "negativity" thread and whilst I do appreciate that some things aren't working as we would all hope and expect you can kinda get by and live with it (kit, say). Totally different thing altogether if fans can't actually get into the game. Do hope all those who want to attend can do so tomorrow. And lets hope this is just down to teething problems and it'll all sort itself out sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed anyhow.
Perhaps this ought to be included on that thread too as maybe suttonshrew can take it up with the club.👍

Someone asked the question there and was told to post their supporter number and they would ensure it was printed ready for collection on Saturday Out of interest, what was the process with fan cards this year? I've not really seen them mentioned by the club at all. Have they posted new ones out alongside STs? Or has it all been on individuals to contact the club and ask for them to be printed? I don't need it this year, as have upgraded to a ST, and you know, I'd be fine enough paying for another one in future if I didn't renew that.. but in theory they should have sent me one, lasting forever and all.

I got a real ticket online, Only reason I did that is because I hate QR Codes. Much prefer to have a real ticket. Hopefully they will continue to keep the real ones

The issues raised.. speed, theft, safety, security, banking and counting all eliminated by this and would also eliviate loads of pressure off the ticket office staff. Would kind of work similar to using the London Underground.

I'm pretty sure the whole 'pay on the gate' thing was phased out due to new licencing laws coming in when we moved to the new stadium. Possibly to do with the sale of alcohol inside the ground?
Unless I'm mistaken, no ground in the EFL has allowed you to do this for years.

E mailing the ticket office usually works if not ring reception and speak to receptionist (option 6) if no reply option 4 which is for accounts answered yesterday and put me through to ticket office (01743 289177) Crazy work around 😂

I don't. And where would nearest atm be to the ground? Sainsbury's in retail park?
