we scored best goal of the game ,looked very fir I thought , no shortage of effort ,made a couple of mistakes for their goals but otherwise all very preseason No doubt Burnley are a better side than us as you would expect Oh and the pitch looked great totally out passed first half, the through balls and quick 1-2s were leaving us for dead, we resorted to back to marosi to hoof it and the only hope of holding it up was Udoh, da costa did ok in their half but offers not a lot coming back, Dunkly made a few decent clearances. Marosi's kicking wasn't great and one shot he actually punched away with both hands when it would have been easier to catch. 2nd half we showed a bit of battle and pushed up a good 10 years but at a price, we were often ripped apart with a through ball and the last 2 burnley goals were identical and awful. Shipley literally one good moment and scored a chip George best would have been proud of but apart from that our midfield was non existence, we bypassed it, burnley bypassed it, it might as well have not been there. lets just hope this was down to a quality burnley giving us a lesson . The worrying stat is I can only remember 1 effort on target in the last 2 games now, at least we have a 100% strike rate ;-). We need to pray and hope a loan 'punt' comes up trumps. |

Friendlies mean **** all, our 2nd game, burnleys probably played a couple more than us.all you need to know is--- that we will be fit and ready for morecambe on the 30th july

Burnley looked a good team.
Leahy looked to be playing more defensive mid, which is a waste.
South Stand was quite lively for a pre season friendly.

Did anyone find the new ticket system actually working at the turnstiles? Turnstiles in the RW had already packed up when I arrived and just had my ticket manually checked before I was let in

I would have thought with his experience (and the level he has played at) O'Brien wouldn't be someone coming in to sit things out on the bench. Was going to ask those who were there how he played but he didn't get in did he? Is he injured at the minute? Maybe we'll get a first look at him on Tuesday. Maybe I need to temper my expectations (and we'll be going with Udoh and Bowman again).
Really nice finish from Shipley.

He’s got DOMS due to all the running and lack of pre season plan before signing. Sounds like he might get 15 mins Tuesday |
