I was surprised to see Ebanks-Landell get the captains armband last season and others probably were too but with him leaving who should be captain next season?
I think Luke Leahy should be. He strikes me as a good person on and off the pitch. A leader, loves the club and will be a guaranteed starter whatever formation or position he plays.
There’s some good options, I’ve included experienced players 26 or over in the poll if you vote other then please state who in your post.

Leahy for me.
Captained Bristol Rovers and leads by example on and off the pitch.
Flanagan also has captain experience so wouldn't be a bad choice.
I'm not entirely sure how much it matters in the modern game, seems more symbolic than anything else, but it would be a good way of rewarding Leahy for last season.

Burgoyne for me. Loves the club even more than Luke ‘Shrewsbury Til I Die’ Leahy.

If it’s not Leahy then there’s something seriously wrong somewhere.

Got to be Leahy, the only player last season that showed any leadership imo. He would be constantly encouraging others every time their was a break in play and would be happy to have words with some when they make the wrong decision. He's also got the ability to ensure he is first name on the teamsheet.

i would have thought pennington would be the obvious choice I agree that a calmer head like Pennington or Bennett would be more suitable, Leahy doesn’t need an armband to bring the fight and passion.

If it’s not Leahy then there’s something seriously wrong somewhere. Whilst I voted for Leahy, can't possibly agree with this. We're in a good position where you have numerous candidates who I think would do a great job
