Well done to TNS winning the 1st leg 1-0 against Linfield. 2nd leg in Belfast next week.
And Shamrock Rovers currently 2-0 up against Maltese side Hibernians.

Shamrock Rovers win 3-0. Should see them through in the 2nd leg next week. you'd think so but I remember TNS being 4-0 this time last year with 90mins on the clock of the first leg and they went out

Never done and dusted at this level, always a chance of a slip up.
Teams at the very top would never let such a lead slip. But that's why I prefer to follow my football at a lower level, more chance of a shock.

Is it just coincidence the Wales sides have been drawn against Irish sides or is it a new format?

Would certainly make sense, no real point in a small team from our side of Europe having to trek right over to play a small team at the likes of Moldova or Cyprus. Just split it east and west would be sensible at this stage of the competition.

I was at the TNS v Linfield match. It was poor. But a full house so atmos was good at times. I recon Linfield will beat them back in Belfast as they play on a much bigger grass pitch as opposed to TNS's small fake pitch.

I was offered a game once at llansaintfraid reserves, no idea what league they were in or what league the first side were in at the time, I didn't even go and they didn't even have 11 men shame town don't have a friendly there, I used to like going to that one when it was at the old ground, never been to their current one

The "small fake pitch" complies with Competition rules so will be larger than you think probably.

My point being Windsor Park is the national stadium so I would be expecting it to be considerably bigger than Park Hall and would be a big home advantage.

Josh Daniels didn't play. I don't think any of their 3 new signings played. I seen Josh with his missus and kid in the lounge after though. Hopefully he will play in the 2nd leg.

Newtown are at park hall next Thursday in the second leg against the Icelandic team hb Torshavn. Good luck the robins! Surprised at that, I thought Newtown’s ground was ok for UEFA games The pitch at Latham Park, which was laid at 2014, does not meet the required standards, despite hosting qualifiers against Copenhagen and Valletta in 2015. It is similar to the tale of Barry Town United, who in 2019, had to play their qualifier against Cliftonville at Leckwith Stadium, due to the ball rolling too quickly. Speaking to The Sport Report, Newtown’s finance director Barry Gardiner said: “We’ve known for a couple of years that it has to meet different FIFA regulations, and that is always going to be a challenge as it’s used by all teams, the academy, and the community. “There are new rules set to come into play which will make it even harder for clubs to pass tests while also getting the revenue from their pitches. “That is something we are going to have to look at going forward, but for now we will have to go to TNS for our home games in Europe.”

There should be more relaxed rules for qualifying games imo as it is generally smaller teams from smaller nations having their own competition to get into the full competition. If you actually qualify then the full rules should kick in. It's a bit like the FA Cup qualifying rounds.

Shamrock Rovers get 0-0 draw in Gibraltar to see them comfortably through to the next round thanks to their 3-0 home win last week.
Linfield v TNS tomorrow night (0-1 from 1st leg).

I’ve a feeling tns will do it and get a draw out there. Shame that these games involving Welsh clubs are not televised on sgorio. Be great to see the Welsh clubs in Europe on tv though I’m going to support Newtown in person at park hall versus the Icelandic team . Up the robins !

Just watching TNS on my special firestick, any idea why no supporters there? The only possible reason that I can think of was that yesterday was the 12th July and used to be the start of the Protestant marching season to celebrate the Battle of the Boyne. Linfield are a Protestant team, right down to playing in the same colours as Rangers. Therefore possibly the police have banned fans to make sure that there isn't any sectarian trouble after the match

Or it may be the fact there are supporters there but all on the same side as the camera, with it being Windsor Park I would imagine it would be hard to fill anyway.

0 0 at half time, Linfield sightly better chances but TNS holding their own.
