First post since April 2019, and what a pleasure it is to be back!
Anyways, I live in Spain. I would like to go to the pre-season camp. However, I've had a look on the website/on here and can't find any information on it.
Is it invite only? Or have I missed something? Or even more importantly, do we have enough players to play a competitive 11 a side game currently? In all seriousness it's probably a bit too hot here right now to play the same 11 for 90 minutes without subs. Maybe this is why there's no 'open invite'?
If anyone else is going let me know. COYB!

I believe there's a few going over 4th-8th, or 4th-9th and hoping to travel up Valencia way for the game, although that might be cancelled now. No idea why it isn't organised and published by the club, a pre-season tour and a bit of fan interaction would do the club a lot of favours.

Wasn’t Alicante mentioned during the end of season awards? Hope those travelling are somewhere near the action. Just imagine two hour train trip to hope to catch a glimpse of the team.

Qatar Sporting Club as in a team from the Qatari state or one of the local Sunday league teams in the area, like Sporting Bengal or Romania FC?
Not that it matters.
The location is currently highly classified information.
Tresspassers at the ground will be shot on sight.

I suppose we have to consider what the manager is looking to get out of the trip. Perhaps this is what he is after. Either that or its easier said than done to get something arranged against a local side (perhaps being a 3rd division club we're not exactly open to offers).
I hope those who make the trip enjoy things and its worth the while. Do think it a shame though that they'll be watching the game in some hotel complex rather than visiting a club ground over there. Not as if we get the chance to do so in the normal run of things.

From the Caldwell interview:
On pre-season:
“The players fly out on Saturday 2nd July and come back on the 9th. They’re out there for a week, staying near Valencia. They’ve got a game on that Wednesday [6th July] evening which is in Benidorm. We’re hoping to announce that as soon as possible but we’re also tying that in with another friendly we have at home on the 15th [July], and we’re just waiting on the other club to confirm the announcement on that so we can announce the two friendlies. There will be a game in Spain on Wednesday at 19:00 at night in the Benidorm area.”
Brian also confirmed that fans will be able to attend the fixture in Benidorm, Spain. It will be played at Hotel Meliá Villiatana, Wednesday 6th July, 19:00 kick-off.

Comfirmed as Qatar SC the team from the Qatari state , be a decent test , lookin forward to it and the benidorm jollops

However, with having to book off work etc and less than 2 weeks notice isn't ideal. LFG #COYB Hotel looks nice.
