I've been disappointed with it this year. Only acts I've enjoyed is Sam Fender, Blossoms, First Aid kit and Noel Gallagher.
Sam Fender is a quality Song writer and performer and should of headlined Friday night.

macca was a lot better than I expected and considering he is 80 it was probably quite remarkable

Some of the acts have sounded like they were rehearsing this year, boring wallpaper music. But Macca, he just pulled it off. Life enhancing, I didn't actually believe it until I saw him when he said I've got another guest.. . Mr Bruce Springsteen".
Now, my ambition is to headline Glastonbury at the age of 80. But, as my only musical prowess is a few notes on an alto-sax, it will have to be as a rave DJ - Oldboy Fat.

macca was a lot better than I expected and considering he is 80 it was probably quite remarkable I had convinced myself that he was going to announce his retirement, age plus end of world tour home gig in front of 100,000 plus, just seemed to make sense. Amazing two and a half hour performance and OK his voice isn't what it was but it was fantastic to see thousands and thousands of young people singing along to The Beatles classics.

I stopped over in Liverpool a about 8 ago and went to the Cavern Club one night, just to say I've been like everyone does not sure if they are on every night but a Beatles tribute band were on, I know none of it was original, band or club but it was a great experience and they were excellent, even had wigs on

Meanwhile young Mick Jagger wowed them at Hyde Park, (he's only 78).

It’s been joyous to follow on the BBC.
Khruangbin, Little Simz, Cate Le Bon, Warmduscher, have been particular highlights.
Elbow absolutely nailed what they were there for earlier.
Paul McCartneys voice may be thin but hell that was impressive.
Very special.

Did the sites, Cavern, Beatles Museum at Albert Dock,Penny Lane, Quarry Bank, St ,Strawberry Fields and St Peters Church in Woolton etc. His "big thing"was wanting to see the house on Menlove Avenue where Lennon had lived with his Aunty Mimi.Sadly he was disappointed as the house is a privately owned 3 bedroom pre-war semi detached. Not so much a "working class hero" as a middle class one, which many Liverpudlians had known all along.

Haven't seen as much this year as I usually do. From what I did see, I enjoyed Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Blossoms, Pet Shop Boys & the staging of Kendrick Lamar's set was terrific.
I hope to catch up on some of the things I've missed, like McCartney, Cate Le Bon, Khruangbin & Elbow.
Glastonbury seems to be reflecting the times with so many pop acts (I mean nothing disparaging by the term - it's all pop music). That's fine but they do sound to me like things I've heard before, so I'm not engaged there at all. Seeing a lot of people in their teens and 20s knowing the words to songs I don't ever remember hearing probably doesn't help. That's what getting older does to you!
Glastonbury being the main festival, I guess it has to cover as many genres as it can and it does that very well. Always worth watching.

Personally thought Kendrick Lamars set was absolutely staggering.

Self Esteem - that's another set I want to catch up with.

Never been into pop music even as a kid. Only act I watched was the Jesus and Mary chain. The only act I was excited about was the Damned and they pulled out due to COVID ☹️. Too many people there for me bah humbug 😂

the pets shop boys was a bit weird, Chris Lowe was missing for the first half hour, I'm not having the feeble excuse they came up with that he was stuck behind a video screen

Away from the main stages it's quite an eclectic mix. I always find something to like that's far from the mainstream.
