Danny boy didn’t understand the question. Probably thought he was ordering a pizza.
Usually does exactly as he’s told.

Interestingly I always thought that about Philip Dunne but he’s proved me wrong this time.

Interestingly I always thought that about Philip Dunne but he’s proved me wrong this time. Yes , I did think when I heard that Dunne had voted against Boris that you would be surprised ! Why? Because I remember your previous posts when you didn’t hold him in high esteem . I think you were living in/ near Ludlow at the time 👍

it sounds cynical and i will be happy to proved wrong but i suspect some people voted for him in the hope of climing up the ladder in the quest for some promotion

Either the promise of promotion or the promise of more levelling up funds for their constituencies.

I've always thought the baying "hear, hear" in Parliament was infantile. Watching these MPs banging their little fists on the table reminds me of infants school and the banging of desk tops.
We've reached a new category of infantile behaviour amongst our MPs. I dare say some of them have never left prep school in terms of their emotional development.
How sad and stupid it looks.

Either the promise of promotion or the promise of more levelling up funds for their constituencies. Or some just voted for him because they didn't want the uncertainty of a leadership election followed by the inevitable cries for a general election once the leader has been chosen.

Those Tory MPs that voted for him probably did so because there isn't anyone else.
Policy, and our money, will now be allocated according to how much it enhances Boris' trashed image.
As for "levelling up", surely the simplest and cheapest way is to encourage working from home and get some of the higher paid jobs done by people who are able to live in the run down areas of the country and spend their bigger wages there? Rees-Mogg is living in the past thinking everyone should go back to the office - if people are not working to their capacity at home then you are not managing them correctly.
