What a great game that was, Iโm definitely not begrudging Ukraine that win after that performance.
I wish them all the best in the final.

Perhaps not a great surprise as Ukraine are the higher rated team but their midfield played Scotland off the park for the first 70 minutes. The six starters who play in the Ukraine League have not played a competitive game since December so it was an incredible effort from them. Scotland looked very subdued and only scored after a goalkeeping error. Zinchenko was top class for Ukraine. Wales are a better side than Scotland so it should be an excellent game on Sunday and I think Gareth Bale could well make the difference.

Ukraine have the spirit to do anything at the moment. Must be a great boost for those suffering an illegal invasion of their country. Every success to them in football and the war.

I was pleased for Ukraine, but I can't want them to beat Wales.

Wales vs Uckraine set to be an emotional and great game. One of those games where whoever wins it's good. Wales fans, make sure you have a copy of the phonetic lyrics to the Uckraine national anthem and sing it loud and proud as only the Welsh can.
Would be good to see Wales at the World Cup, but may the best team win!

I honestly wish we were playing anyone but Ukraine on Sunday. Very mixed emotions about this one to be honest.

Straight forward Ukraine win hopefully. or hopefully not! The vast majority of Scotland & Wales fans detest the English, "anyone but England" ... Come on Ukraine!

The vast majority of Scotland & Wales fans detest the English, "anyone but England" ... I think you'll find a lot of it is banter related to sport, Martin. You might get the odd Juan who sulks a bit. I remember going into a cafe in machynlleth a few years ago with the dragon and daughter with their silly yam yam accents, and suddenly all the locals started speaking welsh. When the waitress came to our table, I had a quick chat to her in my limited welsh, (it was a case of don't leave me with her long, I won't last 5 minutes!), and then hey Prestwick, the customers all started speaking english! Any road up, I mustn't say anything nasty about the welsh, or my welsh relatives might not leave me anything in their will. As for Scotland, I've been loads of times, never had a Miss Word with any of them. The last time we went up to watch the mighty Cowden, we based ourselves in Glenrothes. A few locals who spotted the Blue Brazil scarves came over for a chat. Very friendly to a man/woman. Although the Juan Celtic supporter said to us, "you're fine in here with Cowden, but I wouldn't dare wear my Celtic shirt in here, there'd be a riot!"

I'm sure if it were England v Ukraine most of Wales and Scotland would be baying for a Ukraine win.
Just saying like. ๐

Might just be me (and may also just be a Shropshire thing) but the Welsh/English relationship has always felt more nuanced than Scotland/England.
I'll always back Wales in football or but never Scotland national team (club level I'll usually back any British side)

I'm English but have always felt the rivalry as mostly just friendly banter. I've always cheered on UK teams, and wanted Scotland to win and now want Wales to win. Each to their own.

As well as the Welsh / Scottish v England thing, and whether you would want them to win a play off for the World Cup or not is hugely skewed due to who the opposition is and what that country is going through.
I'm sure if they were playing someone like Austria or Switzerland the feelings of many would be different to them playing Ukraine right now.

Wales-Ukraine is too close to call. Wales are more highly ranked and have home advantage but we know Ukraine can play some great passing football as they did against Scotland. I think Ukraine's weakness is their keeper, who was very dodgy when Scotland finally managed to put some pressure on him. I expect this game to be pretty tight throughout and, in those circumstances, the classiest player on the pitch usually makes the difference - late winner from Gareth Bale anyone?
