Just happened to have Talking Pictures on TV last night when on came Carry on Columbus, a 1992 attempted reboot of the original series. Now I've never seen this film before so I thought I would watch it for a laugh. A day later and I'm still waiting for a laugh!
That film must rank as one of the worst British films of all time and definitely the worst ever comedy.
What on earth possessed them to make such a stinker.
Can anyone name a worst film?

I remember watching a film called 'Year One' at the cinema many moons ago starring Jack Black and Michael Cera.
Always been the yard stick for any subsequent awful films I've seen but in truth I've probably seen worse.
Started watching that 'Eurovision - The Story of Fire Saga' on Sunday but gave that up after about 45 minutes.

The Invention of Lying, starring Ricky Gervais, is absolute dogs**t.

www.imdb.com/chart/bottomWorst 100 films according to IMDB. Haven't seen many on the list but it prompted memory of the 'Piranha 3D' series, one of which I for some reason sat through over the Christmas period when ill with Covid. Didn't make me feel better put it that way. Genuinely think the brains behind films like that and 'The Human Centipede' should be locked up.

Any e shark film trying to recapture the box office success of Jaws. The sequels were pretty terrible especially Jaws The Revenge.....my God, what was Michael Caine thinking???
The recent Sharknado films are an embarrassment to the genre.

I canât watch a film unless I check itâs rating and its over 7/10
I watched Michael Douglas in Game which fit the bill
Turns out it should have been a zero , It was more far fetched than a roadrunner cartoon

what was Michael Caine thinking??? In his own words... "I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific."

I never realised that they remade Rollerball; as a teenager I remember watching the original at Tywyn cinema, we went back to watch it twice that week. As far as I can remember it was one of the first double A's to screen at our cinema. Looking down the list, what possessed them to remake the classic Wicker Man? Sometimes, I wish Hollywood would just leave well alone.

Three Men and a Baby with the enigma himself Tom Selleck, why oh why did I get talked in to seeing it, no doubt an ulterior motive moment, but I was mentally scarred for life.

âThe Roomâ - written by, directed by and starring Tommy Wiseau.
So diabolically bad that itâs very very good, as the regular continued screenings of it in Prince Charles cinema in Leicester Square will attest.

I stop watching films I think are bad, but the 5 minute snatches of any of the Fast and Furious films that I've endured suggest strongly to me that you'd go a long way to find something worse.
The so-bad-it's-good category is a different matter, although I'd say it's not a very big field either. Anything by Ed Wood is worth watching, if only in astonishment that they were ever made - Glen Or Glenda is probably even 'better' than Plan 9 From Outer Space. Tim Burton's Ed Wood biopic is worth watching for context too.

Only one in my experience La La Bloody Land Whats that all about đ„± My wife watched it on a flight out to Thailand. She loves musicals but not this one! She was very disappointed. Meanwhile, I gave it a wide berth and watched "Isle of Dogs" instead...now that is a good film, in my opinion.

The Souvenir and The Lighthouse, both from 2019.
Loved by the critics but both mind-numbingly turgid.

The Lady in The Van. I think Maggie Smith is a fantastic actress, but even she couldn't make this dross bearable. Me and the missus kept watching, hoping there was a point to the film, but it seems as though there wasn't.

I was once given a copy of âBarb Wireâ starring Pamela Anderson as a âgiftâ. More like an unwanted gift that someone passed on!!
The film made my eyes bleed it was that bad! I have no idea of what the plot or storyline were meant to be, it just seemed like an excuse to have PA running around in a scantily clad leather outfit for 90+ minutes!!
âŠâŠWhich Sounds like the stuff of dreams for a young male back in the 90s, but it was truly awful!!

Normally I watch a film even to end, even if its rubbish and in recent years there have been loads of awful films, particularly ones who want to copy the success of Lock Stock, Snatch or Football Factory etc., watching the same Cockney actors do the same old storyline so many times can get a bit tiresome but I still end up watching them!
But the only film I've ever watched and turned off midday through was Jeepers Creepers, I thought it was awful but I appear to be in the minority on that.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. No idea what that was about. I like Gary Oldman & Colin Firth too but you shouldnât have to Google what a film is about after watching it.
