Thought that I would put this up as I imagine that Jaytee is feeling pretty gutted about it.
Cowdenbeath, the Blue Brazil, have been relegated to the Scottish Lowland League after being comprehensively beaten 4-0 over two legs on the L2 playoffs.
Going to be a long road back as, since the Scottish non-league (ex junior League football) has been restructured there is a long list of better run, better supported and superior teams clamouring to get into L2 through the playoffs.
Once in the league they don't hang around,Cove are in the Championship, Kelty have gone straight through to L1 and Edinburgh City beat Annam over two legs and will also be in L1
I fear for my Scottish L2 favourites, Albion Rovers, they could be next😪

East Fife down the road also relegated to league 2.

Tbf I've only ever seen Central Park on film, but just like the Wee Rovers Cliftonhill and Edgar Street it looks like an absolute old school dump but with character

Berwick Rangers have really struggled since they’ve been relegated to the lowland league. It is certainly a tough league to get out of. Cowdenbeath have been teetering on the brink for a while so perhaps have deserved to be relegated this time around. An end of an era maybe?

I think any of the long struggling sides that go out will find it tough to get back in easily, though Brechin made a good fist of it this season but lost out due to a poorish start.

My other fave team fort William are now in the regional junior Leagues after finishing bottom of the Highland league and being unable to fulfill their playoff game against banks o'dee. It will be a nightmare trying to find their results as they won't be on Teletext. As you can see I'm a modern technology fan. 🤓

Hard not to like the idea of a team as romantically named as Bonnyrigg Rose being in the league. Sounds like a song Moira Anderson (look her up kids) might warble on the Andy Stewart Show.
Not quite as romantic as the glorious Queen of the South but a good second.

speaking of the blue Brazil, I spoke to their number 1 fan today , the only and only Jaytee, , he almost did actually go and watch the game but gave it a miss, he's currently waiting for his internet to be repaired and will back asap

PS Just had a good look at New Dundas Park, home of the Rosey Posey's,via a blog that I subscribe to.What a dump, makes Central Park look good. SPFL ground standards must be pretty low if this is acceptable for L2

I’m glad it’s his internet that’s poorly and not him. I have been wondering why he hasn’t commented.

I've followed the fortunes of Cowden all my life, (and I'm nearly 36 now). I've been looking at the Highland and Lowland Leagues for a bit because I feared the worst. The two outstanding teams played off for the right to play Cowden.
I don't suppose I'll live long enough to see league football again at Central Park. It's a shame, they're a lovely friendly club. I had a text asking if we should up to see The Blue Brazil play Gretna, but I'd rather wait to until the massive clubs like Civil Service Strollers come to town.
