Aden Flint is on the Radar Shhhhh. We don’t want to alert too many rivals. Would he drop to the Conference for silly money? Aden flint is more likely to go to Derby or Sheffield Wednesday I’d imagine. Both linked and he’s based right in between the 2 from the sounds

Both linked and he’s based right in between the 2 from the sounds Agree. Didnt SC say he wanted 3 of Wigan's promoted team? But there is a big difference between wanting players and them actually signing. Targets have got to be actually achieveable. Shrewsbury aren't a big side at this level and won't pay at that level. Flint feels well out of Shrewsburys reach

We will see, I would like luke freeman from sheff utd, been released, but dunno what wages he'd demand, played under cotteril at Bristol. Tidy little player

Flint has played under Cotterill before and such players either love him or hate him. The fact that they were successful bodes well.

It does, but the fact someone like sheff Wednesday will offer him £8-12k a week if required is much more important to anyone unless you’ve played in the prem all your career…

Tidy little player Exactly the same applies to my comment above. He's a championship player or top end league one. If SC is targeting Flint and Freeman I expect the same summer as last year. Look at this season's signings Leahy, Bowman, Marosi, Nurse etc are nowhere near the level of Flint and Freeman. Bennett only came because he's local and is now in mid thirties. Expectations need to be lowered

How about Marlon Pack? Played for SC at Bristol City, released by Cardiff, creative midfielder.
Would he be viable for us? In reality we all have absolutely no idea but a bit of speculation is good

The one I liked from last night was Ben Fox thought he was excellent whether he has the pace to get around the pitch at the higher level i dont know but aged 24 and looks to be out of contract at the end of season might be worth a gamble.

Doubt we'd take anything other than promising youngsters from a pub league.

I doubt we'll sign any player mentioned on this board and every chance we won't know the players he does sign. I'm looking forward to being pleasantly surprised.

The ones that make me smile/grimace are where the assumption a player is worth looking at based on one performance, either against us or on TV. Along with L2 players being released that we should be contemplating signing, yet how many times do the same people harp on about lack of ambition, I rest my case.

I think Dave has got it spot on there. A couple of tall players is essential. Some tight games set pieces could be the difference.

The reason I mentioned Jayden Richardson, is he is only 21, can play wing back, has bags of pace, and he wouldn't cost us a fee as his contract at Forest is up in June. If they were going to offer him a new Juan they'd have done it by now. According to the BT Sport commentator, there are several League clubs watching him. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jayden_Richardson

I must admit that I am assuming people may be on holiday now ready to be back in time for when players are available and maybe targets are themselves away.

I see Joe Jacobson has been offered a new contract with Wycombe. Still got something to offer.

I see Joe Jacobson has been offered a new contract with Wycombe. Still got something to offer. Only if we play to American Football rules, whereby you can bring your Kicker on for set-pieces. Wycombe are having to double up on him when sides attack him with pace.9

Has arguably improved himself a little since we let him go.

Jacobson is one of our biggest misses on the decade, albeit we've never been short at LB/LWB since he left us really.
Odd one.
