Still… Shame Stockport have got it in the bag eh? Have seen Stockport’s remaining fixtures? They will drop points. Even if you win all your games including Stockport they will only have to win their home games and they can afford to lose away to Chesterfield too. Boreham Wood and Dagenham away will be tough for you. Enjoy bottling the play-offs again.

Talk about taking thinks for granted 🤣 That sort of arrogance gets you looking like bell ends!! Not many are taking it for granted. To play the final at West Ham, given the clubs looking likely to be in the final, is absolutely bonkers all round. The fact it’s clashing with Wales’ biggest game in generations is an added concern if we get there. It’s a decision that’s been made with zero thought given to fans.

Kalispera! We’re in a superb league position. Stockports last 4 look point droppers.
If we beat Southend on Saturday I think we'll push on and win the league. Win it by 1 or 2 points. Stockport will drop more points. They should win on Saturday v Boreham Wood. If they draw..even better. I will be very surprised if they don't drop points against Chesterfield, Wrexham, Turkey and Halifax, All mentioned are in the mix for the play offs and placings. Stockport must be looking over their shoulders. We would be in reverse It's officially on! We're pressing for the title. It could be tight. The league table tonight looks absoutely fantastic tonight. We're on the premises. It's all to play for We could pip it

Plenty of alternatives. Especially in these tough economic times. I think it’s also the jubilee weekend, so London’s the last place to be anyway

Circumstances beyond mosts control have made it difficult to settle on the date. I doubt they thought of non league fixtures in their plan…they make a contract for the final months before they know “the clubs looking likely”…. Real Wrexham fans will priorities their club so what’s the problem? We had to go all the way to Stoke, when in reality Wolves would have been more convenient but we sucked it in and did the job 👍

That suggests the suits in ivory towers know what they’re doing in advance. They decided the venue last week.

They did. Does that constitute planning in advance? clearly the National Non League Management team rang West Ham that day and said "Can we book your ground?" These things take months of planning. Wales were never due to be playing on this date. Anyway I thought Rexham weren't going to need the play offs because they are walking the non League again?

They did. Does that constitute planning in advance? Doc. If you play in the English pyramid occasionally Welsh games may clash …….don’t think there’s any Welsh Pyramid games that night….you sire explains everything “The Club, like the FAW had asked that every effort be made to see if a clash with Wales’ World Cup qualifier against Scotland or Ukraine could be avoided. While the kick-off times are different, the reality is that fans will have to make a choice between which of the games they want to watch live, in person. We are aware that the representations were taken seriously, and the decision taken by the National League was simply down to the lack of any alternative date or stadium to host the game. The date for the National League play-off game was announced at the start of the season and it couldn’t have been envisaged that a World Cup play-off game would need to be scheduled on the same day.”

Problem solved

I’m not bothered one bit about the prospect of missing Wales. My gripe is the thousands of fans having to travel the length of the country when they don’t have to. The NL has chosen a venue that’s totally impractical for all concerned.
