Brilliant news. Now all that's left is criminal proceedings to begin.

Am Umbro spokesperson added: "Like West Ham United we condemn the actions of the player concerned and do not condone cruelty towards animals in any form."
Zouma is an Adidas client and the company said it was aware of the video.
"No animal should be subject to cruel and unwarranted abuse, and we are investigating the incident internally," Adidas said.
Here's hoping they drop him.

West Hams attempt to backtrack now. Not having it, you played him happily, you're all tossers as well as him.

In the interest of balance all of it is being Donated to animal charities by West Ham United but of course they can afford it.

Indeed. Not playing him last night and for several games in the future plus a fine would have been a far better sanction. It’s too late now and a very sad state of affairs. I hope fans continue to give him stick for many matches to come.

I would have preferred it if they'd left the cats and removed Zouma.

Deary me! He's now some kind of war criminal.
The BBC even wheeled out Chris Packham toady to say that Zouma should be hanged, drawn and quartered.
Over reaction, or what?

Not sure anyone's saying he's a war criminal? Just a massive w****r for volleying a cat round his kitchen. It's quite normal for people to be outraged at crimes and cruelty against animals and children you know.

Brilliant, what a lovely story I’m glad the cat will be reunited with its owner soon.

£250k, I expect that to be 4 weeks wages.
Remember how a boxers hands are counted as weapons? I expect a top flight footballers leg would be counted as the same. Poor cat.

Apart from the fact no one has likened him to a war criminal and Chris Packham didn't call for him to be 'hung, drawn and quartered' this is a superb post. Well up to your usual standard!

The point of your post is that tormenting animals is no big deal and people should stop making such a fuss. It's not irony, it's exaggeration for sociopathic effect. I've never used an obscene insult; euphemisms and the odd-bit of rhyming slang maybe...

I'm not sure how anyone can defend him in the slightest.
Two things are off limits, children and animals, in the main both are defenceless.
I hope West Ham get everything coming to them, I hope teams make the environment horrible for them and Zouma at every opportunity.

Gone down in my estimation for that. You can't separate football from wider society and basic standards of decency. 'But he is one of my best players' doesn't wash.

It's the children I feel sorry for. The cat obviously thought it was safe in the child's arms, but it didn't reckon with the actions of a bully. If Zouma had kicked the cat and apologised as it was a heat of the moment thing, I could understand it more, but this was a planned and sustained attack.
Horrible person.
