For old times sake, I'll love it if Everton save themselves and send Leeds down, love it.

I remember saying a few months ago Pickford would come good again, he made one of the all time great saves yesterday, as for Richardson, ooops , if he doesn't get a ban for throwing a smoke flare back into the crowd I would be amazed

Surely its a criminal offence to throw a smoke bomb into a crowd? A shame really that he just reacted but I was a bit surprised he was still on the touch line at the end, surely a fan would have been arrested immediately!

He threw it into the empty part in front of the scoreboard, still a silly thing to do. Will probably just get a slap on the wrist and fine maybe, might have been different if it wasn’t the home end.

If that’s the case I’d agree, he moved it to a safer place 👍 …. Hero of the day in more ways than one

Everton will almost certainly stay up, not because they are good enough, but more because they are better than Norwich and Watford and marginally better than Leeds. Unless there are big changes there, I foresee another struggle next season.

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10783901/Burnley-slapped-65MILLION-fine-relegated-2026.htmlBurnley have confirmed they face a £65million penalty if they are relegated from the Premier League. The bill is due to an early repayment clause in a loan taken out by the club's new owners, revealed by Sportsmail in January. The club's 2020-21 accounts confirm the existence of the clause, which state the balance of the £65m loan will be due if Burnley are relegated before 2026. The loan is interest only until December 2025, with repayments at eight per cent, but relegation will bring forward the repayment date. The club would also lose £50m in TV and prize money in their first season after relegation, with more losses to follow, leading to a fire sale of players.

Be interested to know if the £65m loan is a football associated debt that must be repaid if they enter administration despite the protection that offers?

Still right in it at the moment but are the form team down there in the last few games and winnable game in hand.

Still hoping Everton go, would be poetic.
The second best option is Leeds going, which I think is actually the most likely outcome as it stands.

I'm sure Burnley will agree with you, as their £65 million loan has to be repaid immediately if they are relegated. Plus a further £50 million loss in TV and prize money.

Think Everton should steer themselves clear of danger now, it’ll be between Burnley and Leeds now I think.

Leeds 0-3 Chelsea Watford 0-0 Everton
Leeds in relegation zone at the moment but their remaining 2 games Brighton and Brentford are winnable. Things certainly are hotting up at the bottom whilst I think City have won the league tonight for me.

One more win should see Everton safe, if Leeds lose to Brighton then Everton ko their next home fixture v Brentford knowing a point will guarantee safety.
Remaining fixtures Everton- Brentford h, C Palace h, Arsenal a Burnley- Spurs a, A Villa a, Newcastle h Leeds - Brighton h, Brentford a
