Isn't Everton the only team to have never been relegated from top flight? Everton have in the early 50s. Relegated in 50/51 and also 29/30 when I believe the Tranmere legend Dixie Dean was injured for the season

Should have been relegated in the early premier days , I remember them conceding a goal v Bolton that went in but wasnt spotted and the goal meant Bolton went down instead
Almost like our Wycombe goal or the opposite as the case was

I thought a month ago they had too many good players to go down but watching that game last night they are right in the mire now. They make such basic mistakes in defence and I felt really sorry for Godfrey whose blunder led to the winner as he had been one of their better players. They have a tough run-in as well so its looking bleak for them at the moment.

Considering they have totally ignored the ffp rules of late by a long margin they deserve a points deduction apart from anything else , won’t get one though as the system doesn’t work

Don't rule out Watford either. Only 3 points behind Everton with 5 winnable home games left, 2 of which are against Everton and Burnley. Don't see them getting much away though.
Leeds H Brentford H Man City A Burnley H Crystal Palace A Everton H Leicester H Chelsea A

I don't think Everton can have anticipated a relegation battle when they appointed Lampard. They'd have been in a better position now if they'd stuck with Benitez.
Ignoring everything else, Dyche and Hodgson have masses of experience when it comes to scrapping for points to stay up. Lampard has none.
On the other hand, there's still almost a quarter of the season to be played and neither Burnley nor Watford are picking up many points either. Burnley won but I thought Everton were the better team. If they can improve the Sunday league defending and get players like Keane, Mina, Allan & Gomes back then I think they still have a good chance of surviving.

I would include Leeds Utd in the mix as well.
They've played 2 more games than Everton and Burnley.

Massive result for Everton today, looked doomed after the Burnley game but looks like the 'grand old team' might just stay up 🙌

Burnley now putting Everton (whose next game is at Anfield) under real pressure only one point away from them after their 2-0 win over Southampton last night. Well done to interim manager Mike Jackson who now has 4 points from 2 games - looks like managing in the Premier League is a doddle compared to managing us!

Norwich and Watford are basically down leaving one space left, yes it is possible with the likely candidate being Leeds who are 5 points ahead of Burnley with 6 games to go.

Everton putting up a reasonably good fight so far! Well, better than Tuesday nights visitors to Anfield anyway but that’s not saying much. A little bit of frustration creeping in for Liverpool I feel.

Some very dubious and very negative tactics by Everton so far. But it's working.
A draw would suit Pilch, Man City and even Burnley, as their goal difference is worth another point anyway.

1-0 Liverpool. Everton were the better team 2nd half until that. That should’ve been a foul on Gordon in the penalty area would’ve been given anywhere else on the pitch yet VAR didn’t check it. Typical Liverpool getting the decisions.
