Cracking draw that, hoping it's Boston, new ground but Stratford would be a great trip too.

Yes great game no matter who goes through… just hope it’s not moved to a Friday or Monday night now.

Record attendance at Stratford is 1,054!! No idea what capacity is! Stratford’s ground only holds 1400 so I’d imagine if they beat Boston then we’ll only get a couple/few hundred tickets which will go to season ticket holders/loyalty points.

Despite it getting zero mention on itv I think TV will look at it as real banana skin and is arguably one of the ties with the largest gap in places.
I think it might get moved to the Sunday. We shall see.

Sooo, do we know whether Stratford play at Stratford-Upon-Avon or Stratford as in London and end of Jubilee line?!

We shall see. I agree with you sadly. Let's hope we can get through this and draw someone from L1 in Rd2 so we can drop out without any shame. That's about the best we can hope for this season.

People seem to be getting too excited, Stratford have to beat Boston on Tuesday night which won’t be easy. If it’s Stratford we’ll get at least 350 tickets as 25% has to be offered for FA Cup games.

I hope it’s not Stratford because of the opportunity for terrible Shakespearean puns.
Taming of the Shrews if we lose.
Much Ado About Nothing if we draw, etc
At least the departure of Donald means we won’t have Love’s Labours Lost.

Christ how negative can you get 😫 Tbf it's quite easy for someone who never goes to Salop games to hope we lose. Nothing in it for him if we go far in the cup, he won't be there! Deeply weird behaviour imo, but there we go.

If not live then pretty sure this will be a 2pm Sunday game with BBC goal updates, irrespective of who we play.

Christ how negative can you get 😫 Sadly that would be classed as a success of sorts this season. Would hate to see us goal a goal down to whoever we end up playing. Mind you every year I always hope for the same at 1st and 2nd round time. Avoid a non league club in case of what might happen, and weve had too many of those in the last 20 odd years.

Any team at our sort of level is going to lose sometime before the final so best it's to a higher level club to avoid embarrassment.

Gainsborough Away didn’t turn out too badly and we scraped past Oxford City last season.

There were 4 televised games last season in the 1st round; Friday 7.55pm (BBC) Sunday 12pm & 2.15pm Monday 7.45pm
If that’s still the same with the new TV deal looking at the fixtures I’d say we’ll be one of the four fixtures: Sudbury v Colchester Corinthian Casuals/St.Albans v Forest Green Boston/Stratford v Shrewsbury Kings Lynn v Walsall

Still have nightmares about Histon, Blythe Spartans, Rushden (before they got into the league) and Staines. Boston are at a similar level I'm sure and Stratford probably lower still (not actually checked).
But we have to get on with it and hope for the best.
