Rodgers scored a couple of crackers, a mazy run against Rochdale to put us top of the league and then a powerhouse from a ridiculous angle near the corner flag v York (I think)
Always thought the Evans lob v Stockport was a very clever goal
Holt v Rochdale was probably one of the best technical goals I can remember seeing.

The Rochdale winner was another one of my memories. Possibly more situational given that it was an injury time winner to put us top of the league. But would like to see it again!

Vic kasule, 40 yard blaster against Swindon, the match when kamara broke melroses jaw, 2-1 to shrews, middle to end of eighties I am SO glad someone else remembers this one, everyone always talks about the Leeds one as it's a good story but THIS was (according to my 11 year memory) the most stupendous strike I've ever seen. I surprised no one has mentioned mark Dempsey after the 165 yard Austin Berkley slow motion charge up the pitch being chased by the entire Fulham squad to set up the first Liverpool cup tie, that was pretty epic. Final honourary mention to that Darren Currie strike at Brentford in the night game and for satisfaction the Grandson headed winner against Southend was pretty immense too.

I have fond memories of being right behind a peach of a Jemson volley. That ring any bells from anyone? Rochdale away Went 4-0 down Loads of fans left... then he went mental and scored a hatrick... sure one of them was a volley of some vintage

The goal Vic scored against Oldham on their plastic pitch was something special. He even pointed out to the Oldham keeper Goram as to which side of the goal he was going for, but he still had no chance of stopping it.

Some kind of player was Vic, if he'd have put his mind to it, could have had a very good career

Seem to recall it being the same match that he dislocated his shoulder but probably completely wrong. Shame video footage is not quite as easy to find as it is now

May I add one to the list.
Think it was 1971 on a ploughed field, ankle deep in Mud, commonly known as the Gay Meadow.
Opposing team I think might have been Brentford
Step forward Mr Gerald Bridgewood and from what looked like a quarter of a mile let rip with a shot that bulged the old nets.
What a goal Sir.
