Don’t know if he was registered on here, but many of you will have known Howard (just ‘H’ to most). Was very sad to hear of his passing yesterday after a long battle with the bar steward Cancer 😩 A long standing fan and general top bloke who was a big part of the away travel scene, particularly with the ASFC back in the day. Had some right laughs with him and a genuinely nice fella well known for his love of music as well as STFC
RIP fella and condolences to all his family and friends ❤️

the name meant nothing to me but did some surfing to try and find a face pic and then the penny dropped, knew him quite well during the conference season, he was a regular on the away supporters mini bus, had a great weekend in torquay with him too
such a shame
RIP H

This is so weird. I don't know why I checked in here tonight, it's been months.
But to come and see this pretty much straight away... I'm shocked.
Howard was a great bloke, and a very good memory from my time being a full-time supporter. I stayed at his house in Springfield (next door to where my aunt used to live and up the road from my childhood house in Pool Rise) and absolutely loved the bloke. Always great to talk to and one of the most genuine blokes I've met. Of everyone I've lost touch with over the years of my life going to ****, he's one of them I'd love to had another chat with. There's not many like that, I fell out with most of you! But he was also lovely.
Thoughts with Suggsy and the family.
Rest in Peace, mate.

Always enjoyed his company, first met him in the ASFC back in the early 2000’s when Chris Wynne still used to run a minibus to the vast majority of away games, he has bailed me out by offering me his sofa to crash for the night after returning from long range midweek fixtures such as Carlisle or Plymouth and realising I couldn’t get home, a great bloke who will be missed by many, RIP H.
